Vokriid can sorta sew - enough to patch a hole in her clothes, but not much else. she really has little to no crafting abilities. she is a trained singer, and all the Caessaire siblings are reasonably skilled in music, so if one of them starts jamming, the others join in regardless of the piece. sheās also skilled enough in music, and poetry by extension, to recreate some old Nordic songs if she so chooses. the burning of King Olaf is back on!11.Ā What is your ocās main source of income, if they have one besides plundering tombs and adventuring? in Skyrim, aside from taking on bounties, Vokriid makes a surprising amount of money by writing and selling spell books, selling rare and high quality magical artifacts, and teaching classes. she doesnāt charge her apprentice-level courses, but her expert and above classes? pay up. professors need to eat too! (the price of her classes vary by individual student, largely depending on how much a student can pay or how irritating she thinks itāll be to teach someone. she only takes a few students a time tho, so if one canāt pay, they need to be pretty willing to work their ass off.)
tbh Lili brings in just as much, if not more, money than Vokriid does. Solalis also contributes to household funds as the Stormcloaks pay him a reasonable amount.14.Ā How well-liked is your oc? LMAO SHE AINT. most people have a healthy respect and fear for her, but other than that, she is not well liked at all by the general populace. thatās entirely her doing, too; sheās very Machiavellian, and goes out of her way to demand respect, although she tries to avoid being hated. generally she tries to make everyone believe that as long as she is respected, everything will go fine. the political factions are very wary of her, as sheās willing to greatly help any who will help her goals in return, and is openly capable of tipping the balance of power or even playing kingmaker if she so chooses. criminal factions like the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood want her out of Skyrim asap, bc she keeps sending the heads of thieves and assassins back to them. (do NOT try to steal from this dragon hoard).Ā
sheās generally much more respected on a friendly level in mage/academic circles. after all, most non-mages see her as Dragonborn with command over the dragons and who routinely conjures horrifying daedra out of Oblivion, but mages see her as a master Conjurer whoās a very good authority on her subject and pretty reasonable about taking in students and easy to collaborate with in research.

Vokriid is actually pretty leisurely. the idea of scaling mountains rather than take the road around is outright offensive to her. she has the advantage of being a mage to help her in the wild, but honestly, sheās a poor cook and at first has a very rough adjustment period to going from one of the richest families in the Dominion to living out in the Skyrim woods.

in mortal politics, she is completely unknown. in vampire affairs, her name and accomplishments are well known, but no one really has any idea where she is or what sheās up to at any given time. she used to be far more influential among vampires, but sheās been off the map so long that when she does show up, she gets a lot of challengers.

Araelle is an immortal vampire who doesnāt have basic needs to spend money on, only ever wears cheap thin white linen, and is probably squatting somewhere in a cave, so she doesnāt have money or the need to spend it. if she wants something, sheāll take it from someone, or make a deal to give them power/some powerful object in exchange. (do not take her up on her deals bc it will end poorly)

I donāt think Araelle is aware of the passing of time tbh. she doesnāt really register if itās day or night, she just goes outside when she wants. I mean, it still hurts her; sunlight will completely fuck with her senses and prevent her from regenerating magic, but that... doesnāt really stop her from wandering around like the carefree hobo she is. she does not like dealing with society and does not bother.

Kalaron is one of my few ocs with a real occupation, actually. heās the deputy director for a branch of the Thalmor government that handles espionage and assassinations, with some āinternal affairsā duties mixed in. so while he occasionally goes on missions himself, he mostly manages and directs the black ops units of the Thalmor.Ā
12. Is your oc good with finances? Bartering? How long can they keep the money they make?
Kalaron isnāt good at bartering so much as he is good at flattering people into giving him low prices. but he is very, very bad with his own finances and spends his money just about as fast as he can make it. his boss, Caessera, actually manages his funds for him and basically gives him an allowance because heās one of the highest paid Thalmor agents and still would spend himself into oblivion if allowed to do so.
at this point half of Kalaron's character is basically that tweet that goes "Just ended a 5yr relationship." "Holy shit are you okay?" "Yeah it wasnt my relationship lol"

KalaronāsĀ āpetā cat Captain is actually an Alfiq Khajiit, but it isnāt until Kalaronās basically adopted as an ESA and poured his heart out to this little Khajiit that one of the cooks in the Embassy tells him. and by that time, Alfiq Khajiit is too attached to and worried about Kalaron to leave. so Kalaron has to switch to treating his pet to treating him like a little person and itās very disorientating. also he absolutely does not tell Elenwen that he accidentally technically let a stranger inside the Embassy and shared multiple state secrets

heās surprisingly patient, though like with everyone it depends what/who heās waiting on. Kalaron is actually impressively patient with people, especially if heās trying to get something he wants out of them; he treats them like a very difficult, delicate game, and basically his patience comes from the fact that he generally has fun manipulating people. he also has an incredible amount of patience for āthe help,ā and people in serving roles in general. but patience for like, cooking food, or other mundane tasks? none at all. cook NOW, damn you!
18.Ā What are your OCās greatest fears? Weaknesses? Strengths?
oh dear. heās actually scared of... a lot of things, most of them emotional-based. most of all, heās scared of putting himself in a position where he can be abandoned again, basically. heās also terrified of dremora. and anyone putting their hands on his neck.
his weaknesses basically come from the fact that he is very sabotaging, both of himself and anyone who cares about him. he may be extremely good at superficial relationships and getting people to like him, but heās very bad at getting people to feel any kind of real loyalty to him. so basically people have no qualms about stabbing him in the back unless he has superior force as a deterrent. heās also constantly stewing in his own guilt about the fact that he is a downright vicious, vile person, and any amount of self-reflection basically makes him sick to his stomach bc he knows what exactly he is.
strengths: Kalaron is very clever, very charming, very pretty, and has no moral compunctions about being the most manipulative asshole this side of Nirn. if he wants it and you have it, consider it his.
25.Ā What inspired you to create them / how did you create them? Were they originally a fancharacter? What was their personality / design like when you first made them?
heās actually a decomposite of the character Vokriid originally was, believe it or not. I eventually decided that my original Dragonborn had waaay too many conflicting traits, so I made Kalaron have theĀ āsexy sex-addicted whoās extremely manipulative and superficially charming but also a goddamn wreckā part of Vokriid.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BOOOOOOOIIIIIII I CAN TALK ABOUT KALARON, I CAN TALK ABOUT KALARON ALL DAY IN AND OUT.
first of all: heās my fave oc and I love him, so naturally he has one of the most tragic backstories. heās also a horrible person and a Hot Mess. has A Lot of things to cope with and does not do very well with any of it despite being as close to a psychologist as TES can get.
hands down, my most attractive oc. heās naturally decently attractive, but uses both makeup and Illusion to make himself even more pretty. probably thinks heās prettier than Dibella and heās rightĀ
not a prodigy by any means, but he is clever, at least when it comes to how people think. heās also smart enough to weaponize Illusion magic, which he relies on far more than melee skills or any other magic. (without Illusion magic, absolutely gets his ass beat most of the time).
heās a Thalmor, and a high-ranking one, who played a major part in purging the Blades, though he isnāt involved with the justiciars or persecuting Talos worship; thatās too religious a matter for a Sanguinist to be dealing with. his usual reaction to imprisoned Talos worshipers is to release (or kill) them ASAP so he can use the prison cell for important targets.
the friendliest and most easy-going of the Thalmor in Skyrim. Elenwen often sends him on diplomatic errands with the Imperials, since heās quite frankly easier to deal with than a lot of his coworkers (almost entirely bc he isnāt racist, is openly friendly, and likes to crack a few jokes now and then. the bar is so low).
his default expression is smiling. most of his other facial expressions involve smiling, regardless of the emotion. itās a habit and defense mechanism.Ā
is pansexual and very hypersexual.* flirts with every adult between the ages of 20 and 1000, regardless of race, gender, relationship status, etc, though he doesnāt always realize heās doing it, as itās definitely a habit to the point of reflex. will also sleep with just about anyone whoāll lie down, including lycanthropes and vampires.
absolutely an alcoholic, and has tried (and actively takes) a number of different substances. only mostly gets away with it due to Restoration, but many healing potions donāt work very well on him anymore. heās still tipsy just about as often as heās sober.
some backstory:
he was the second son of five kids (his brothersĀ were named Kalandil, Kalanril, Kalayon, and his sister wasā¦. Aniya) in a low-income merchant family out in the boonies of Summerset.
literally the only surviving member of his family of origin isĀ the child of his older brother. the rest of the family died when an Oblivion Gate opened up basically on top of the house when Kalaron was the mer-equivalent of a teenager.
Kalaron survived because he was born under the sign of the Shadow and was able to make himself invisible and hide. the invading daedra didnāt notice him, but they sure did notice everyone else in the house.
he was taken in by his brotherās husband in the aftermath of the Oblivion Crisis, but got kicked out of the house because he was acting out in ways that were potentially dangerous, and his brother-in-law was much more concerned about his baby than dealing with a difficult, traumatized teenager.
Kalaron and his brother-in-law do not talk to each other as a result. theyāve had one meeting since Kalaron was kicked out, and adult Kalaron basically told himĀ āyeah I know I was being a delinquent and you had valid fears about me being around your child, but also I hope you go straight to hell and Iām gonna piss on your grave.ā
has a legitimate panic attack when his niece shows up in Skyrim to meet/reconcile with him because he's terrified of 1) anything resembling familial relationships, and 2) his boss or Elenwen having any kind of potential hostage to use against him.
as mentioned, he is a Sanguinist and very much hypersexual. not in a sexually liberated way, but in aĀ ācanāt form healthy relationships but also craves intimacy so he has as much sex as possible without committingā way. itās a little more complicated, but thatās the tldr of it.
has been in aĀ āāāfriends with benefitsāāā relationship with Solalis forā¦ nearly an entire century, because he Cannot Commit and is, quite honestly, a blatant cheater. also lowkey has a running tally of how many relationships heās managed to ruin, and always excuses it with āit takes two to have an affair.ā Marina and the Diamondās āHomewreckerā was written about him.
a ....lot of people rightly hate him. the only people who actually like him are the ones who donāt have to deal with him lol. even Solalis eventually gets fed up with his shit and leaves him.
I haveā¦. a lot more of him but this is already pretty long. just know heās my most developed and fleshed out character, so I love him.
*disclaimer: heās not my only pansexual character, but is the most sexually active. the other bi/pan (and other lgbtq+) characters do just fine being monogamous, itās just him cheating and running around sabotaging peopleās relationships.
