Could you give me the TL;DR version of Bendy and the Ink Machine?
Uh... I suppose? There’s only one chapter right now, and it’s like... 10 minutes long. Super super short and simple There are numerous playthroughs on youtube right now, and I’m sure you’d get more out of it than a bunch of text! Also I don’t do TL:DR have you ever read my writing my dude
Buuuut whatever here we go--
Basically you play as an ex-animator named Henry, who is invited back to the old studio he animated in by Joey Drew, the director of a cartoon they both worked on together. The cartoon was made in the 1920-30′s era, sporting rubber hose animation, and a “Disney” Mickey Mouse-like protagonist named Bendy; a little dancing demon.
As it turns out, the studio is all but abandoned, and Joey has been up to some dark things within the walls. He crafted what’s called the “Ink Machine” to produce large quantities of ink for animation, however that wasn’t the end goal he was after. Joey has been trying to keep the cartoon alive, not only figuratively, but also literally, as you find the literal corpse of Boris the Wolf, Bendy’s friend, hooked up to an examination table with his chest ripped open. It seems like the ink he’s been making has been used to literally bring the characters to life.
I’m not entirely sure why, but you collect items to get the Ink Machine working again, as cardboard cut-outs of Bendy move about the studio to give you little bitty jumpscares. Once you finally do get the Ink Machine running again, Bendy finally reveals himself as the machine literally starts making the building fall apart. Pipes are bursting, the floors are breaking, and Bendy is collecting more and more ink for himself.
The game ends after you fall into the basement, just steps away from the exit. As you wander further in you find a pentagram and two coffins leaning against the opposite wall. Beyond that, there’s really very little. Though chapter 2 will be released in April.
