How was your evo experience bro? I went the last two years and it was so sick.
@kaiokenx3 I’ll post this since I don’t really mind sharing. I’ve been going every year since Smash 4 came out so since 2015. But this year was especially good, this was probably by and large my favorite Evo so far, probably even more so than last year. Although the venue wasn’t 24 hours (which doesn’t make sense because we’re in Vegas? But I digress…), its hands down the best venue I’ve ever been to for a fighting game tournament period. Lots of space, were able to get a wholesome amount of friendlies after most waves of pools were finished. Artist alley was great, publishing booths were amazing because several demos of different new games were there (DOA6 is looking to be really good even in its early build, and of course Ultimate was amazing, that game is gonna be game changing in the FGC and Smash communities). And of course the location is godlike because its Vegas, the best place on earth to get fucked up lmao. So all in all, Evo was great, only complaint was how brackets and format of the tournament was handled (Players getting byes round 1 at the supposed biggest fighting game tournament in the world, lol. As well as this shitty Street Fighter first agenda AGAIN, where their top 8 is best of 5 but all other games aren’t until Losers, Winners, and Grand Finals, hmmmmm, last time I ran the numbers DBFZ had more entrants AND more viewers capping at 190k while SFV was 150k but this is just me talking). All in all, tournament was godlike, everything is godlike but when it comes to very specific things regarding the format, all I have to say is Mr. Wiz honestly fuck you lol.
