[Futokoro* — A Deep Pocket Full of Unique Expressions], super interesting article by Tofugu about how futokoro came to be used in many Japanese expressions.

*Futokoro is the “pocket” created between the kimono left fold and a woman obi. In the past, women used it to put away their hakoseko (kind of wallet holding tissues, changes, some lipstick, etc)... or even a kaiken dagger! Nowadays, it’s still often used to carry items (though cellphones took the place of daggers :P).

My current hair tie uses 2 rubberbands, also in pink and purple and it was getting loose, so I’ve crocheted a simple wave around both strands, in a pink and purple yarn 😂 this was a 100% cotton yarn in variegated pink and purple mixture from Spotlight. Soft and smooth, it even holds my hair up better now!

Guess what? Made more hainu yokai based off of Japanese dogs. Oh also a weird cloud demon. He's cool too :3
