Personality: Snarky, mischievous (does stupid things for a ‘wtf’ reaction), indifferent apath, laidback, chaotic, blunt, introvert, yangire, anti-social and avoidant of other travellers to the point he stays away from paths/roads.

Summary: the Anti-Hero. When the prospects of Link waking up is slim, the desperate goddess Hylia turns to a last resort. Thing is... Spectre’s a bandit who camps with monsters with a strong poe in his shadow,   believing Hylia to be a false god and Hyrule is better off this way:   wild and free. Reluctant with no care whatsoever, he only does her   bidding just for the cool mastersword on the basis he remains anonymous,  and so she could finally leave him the fuck alone.

Ppl think the shit he does is the Yiga's fault lol (arson)

 Actually vain and cares about hygiene (not wild or feral)

 Dulled sense in touch and taste

 Meddles with poes for fun from the grimoire he stole

 Naps in trees alot, sleeps for 10 hours (poe takes alot of energy) has a fav tree and will beat up anyone who uses it

Camping with Monsters 👁️‍🗨️

Seen as a fellow monster due to the poe in his shadow

Moblin shoulder rides !!! Lizalfos give him lifts across water!!

Can sort of communicate with monsters. Understands what their sounds/actions mean and can somewhat mimic those sounds himself! (reee)

He even helps with patrol and carries a signal horn

His weapons are propped up alongside the monsters' weapons

Gives names to his fav monsters

Feels he fits in more!

Not in the way that he’d feel affection, it’s more “I enjoy the companionship and I fit in more. They better my time.” there’s no dependency, it’s unconditional and it’s amusing. He’s able to keep the attachment because of that, so he won’t ever think of hurting them. Though in his eyes if they die he can always find a new camp til the next Blood Moon. If the monsters are dancing joyfully, he’s learnt to exhibit that cue whether it’s hollow or not.

Basically summoned this powerful poe from the stolen grimoire

A third of the page was missing but the entity was like “this guy fuckn stupid. I’m staying.” Saw that Spec did not care for fame or money, Spec was just bored and had no interest in actually making a deal with it. Spec actually tried ridding the circle 10 seconds after summoning since he saw enough. The poe ended up just shrugging and lending power anyway.

The final price was an eye for an eye. Basically took his eye and gave Spec his, residing behind the eyepatch.

Where Spectre got his name. Saw that word in the book and thought it sounded cool.

Has no desire to take over its host, just freeloading while hiding from Hylia and Ganon’s control lol. Actually grew attached.

They do come out on their own occasionally as shadow hand appendages to help out, gesture, deflect arrows, and revive him when he gets killed. Aka why he’s reckless.

The entity is strongest at night, since it can stretch across shadows.

With the eyepatch off Spec can see what the entity sees, but not for long it gives him migraines sfkfdskjnfs

Deeper Deets 💀

His emotions are muted with disparities. No grief, joy or rage. It’s the more shallow emotion he can feel like content, irritated, gloomy etc. In limited circumstances he may experience spikes in emotion or sNAP, but other than that he‘s bored all the time. His anti-social behaviour and lack of moral is because of his imbalance. Pros of this tho is that he takes nothing to heart, gets shit done quickly and can handle intense situations without emotion or moral dilemmas clouding his thoughts. (Tho 90% problematically) Honestly he’s just extremely sad/numb, and is apathetic to cope with past repressed trauma with massive trust issues.

Towards people: Spectre isn’t adept in deceiving nor will bother putting on a fake persona to blend in with society, so in people interactions (something he dislikes and will avoid) his personality as stated above is apparent. He doesn’t care and doesn't want to get involved. He may straight up ignore you unless he wants something/bandits, all with that blank stare or unsavoury grin. He won’t hesitate to seriously injure if need be, and would amusingly watch someone get ambushed by bokoblins and may join in; then loot them while theyre unconscious ddfkjndf 

Befriending him: This doesn’t mean him having acquaintances is impossible. He could have a few. He’s the weird fun goblin to do stupid shit with. He likes watching expressions! But again, he can’t understand why you may badly react to something and remains unfazed. He cannot provide emotional support nor can he genuinely comfort you. Despite that, you may learn a thing or two from him like picking up his stoic approach to life, stop caring what people think and don’t sweat the small stuff, do what you want to do. Who knows he may pick up your mannerisms too. 

D̪͔a̪r̻̞̻k̺̞̬er ̼̼͚ͅd̲͎͙̙̳̺̘e̪̯̻e̳t̥̳̺s̖̞͓̹̠͓̬ 💀

Spectres destructive nature is based on the stimuli he feels most and will seek the most. If someone is highly irritating him, the mental (sometimes intrusive) thoughts of getting them to shut up is highly disturbing. And sometimes, he’ll follow through with it.

“When you’re slitting someone’s throat, you have to do it from one ear to the other. That way, when you lacerate both the jugular and the windpipe, you get to watch them suffocate in their own blood..”

Spectre is a killer in certain circumstances, blankly without hesitation. These are people (e.g Yiga) who keep harassing him, those who usually return to steal from monster camps, and who return to his territory after warning. In these circumstances his hate for them and seeking a thrill overlap and will activate that sinister side.
