Hello! It's been about three weeks since my foot surgery. According to my surgeon my foot is healing shockingly well thanks to keeping it elevated pretty much 24/7.
I'm set to start physical therapy next week to ease my body into walking again, which sounds scarier than it's likely going to be. I'm definitely looking forward to having independence back again!

oh my god i remembered what the excuse was that ex-roommate gave for a reason to not load/unload the dishwasher prior to "i feel like the dishwasher doesn't actually clean as well as handwashing"
the property was on a well (v rural, not close enough to the city for City Water) and in a drought so the owner had to periodically fill our well. as a result of that we had to be conservative with water usage. they claimed that they were being conservative by handwashing instead of using the dishwasher
i looked up if that was true so i'd know if i needed to also switch to handwashing. saw that was incorrect. got no acknowledgement of that (obviously b/c in hindsight it was really just a reason they spat out to not do the dishes)
next time it was brought up was "i can't tell if what's in the dishwasher is clean or dirty so i leave it alone"
we got a cute clean/dirty magnet so i didn't have to be immediately present to answer if i'd run the dishwasher already and didn't need to be the only one (in a house of 4 people) doing it
after that it was "i did dishes at work so i don't want to do it when i get home"
basically every time i asked about them doing the dishes there was a different problem preventing it from getting done, but solving that problem only meant that a different problem needed to exist to make it still impossible
