It had been years since he had gone home, but only a few hours at most since he'd last thought of his family and how they were doing. So much had changed, yet there was plenty that had stayed the same, perhaps more than Kade would have liked. After he'd turned his com on and had had a chance to read the messages waiting for him. He had had a lot of thinking to do, feeling as though he at least owed his mum some closure. His twin too, if he wanted it. But it seemed that the only thing on his twin's mind was fratricide.

Kai was terrifying. But Kade knew that he couldn't outrun fate, and fate's name was Zakai Amir and he'd punched Kade's ticket. Since being on the run for a while, he'd changed some things up; His most recent alias was Jon Thales, but he changed it ever other station at least. More often if he happened to be near high crime areas where Kai might have more pull.

But that was all changing. Kade had decided that it was time to stop running. What even was the point? Kai was either going to hunt him down, or he'd die on the run. He had no plans to entangle anyone else romantically. It was hardly a life at all. The trip back to home space was very nearly a year, even traveling on jump ships instead of slower shipping freighters that he had been getting work on and heading further and further away from Kai's reach, but he was firmly back in his twin's grasp and he wondered if he could sense that. If he knew how frightened he was...

The commercial flight jump ship docked at the public transit space port. Being 7'2" did make it slightly difficult to keep off the radar, but Kade was generally unremarkable these days. Notably, he had gotten work done to better repair the ground meat that the right side of his face had been turned into after the accident. He was loaded with scars and discolored skin, but he wasn't causing as many kids to cry when they saw him bare faced. His right eye had been lost, and he just had a piece of black glass to fit the socket there now. In order to be discreet, he died his hair black, and kept it pretty short, not too dissimilar to Lu's, though this was more about convenience than adoration of the only parent person that liked him. Out in deep space and on trade routes, it had gotten harder and more expensive to find Mutagen, and while he was still fit, he had lost most of his muscle mass, though it did make getting clothes a little bit easier. At present he had some roughed up shit kickers that laced up to midcalf. Black pants that were just slightly baggier on the right side than the left side. He had on a deep red turtleneck vest and a beat up old leather jacket. As he moved, the limited bare skin on his shoulders or pecs that was visibly, had a web of black veins beneath his skin. His jaw was just starting to show some of these black traces, though the turtleneck was obscuring a lot.
