Sketched up a "canon-style" K-wing. Idea is its a frontline bomber/heavy fighter derived from the U-Wing.
Nose ball turret, two pilot stations, mid hull turret operated via scope, torpedo launchers in the outer sections of the wing, and provisions for external armament.
Rough Interior/Layout comparison with U Wing. The body is wider then a U Wings, but probably has less useable space due the two turrets.

K-Wing Assault Starfighter/Bomber - Built by Koensayr Manufacturing (the same company that made the Y-Wings) for the New Republic. The K-Wings were the next line of bombers after the older Y-Wings. The K-Wings’ main missions were precision bombing of planetary targets, slow-moving enemy capital ships, and spaceborne installations. Their secondary missions were being escorts or reconnaissance ships.
K-Wings were very lethal fighters, as they were armed to the teeth with flechétte and concussion missiles, proton and other sublight torpedoes, thermal and other inertial bombs, small space mines, and last but not least; T-33 plasma torpedoes.
However, the only downside was that K-Wings had no hyperdrive, therefore, these bombers required to be carried by a capital ship.
Nebula-class Star Destroyer - Built by the Republic Engineering Corporation for the New Republic. The Nebula Star Destroyer (also known as the Defender-class Star Destroyer) was the largest and most powerful warship in the New Republic’s New Class Modernization Program. Despite being 1,040 meters long (65% of the length of an Imperial-class star destroyer), Nebulas were tough. Nebula Star Destroyers were armed with 40 heavy turbolaser batteries, 40 turbolaser cannons, 20 ion cannons, 8 tractor beam projectors, and 8 assault concussion missile tubes (each equipped with 30 missiles). These “pocket star destroyers” (nicknamed that for their small size) saw massive use in the Yuuzhan Vong War, and fought well against the extra-galactic warships. By the time of Darth Krayt’s Galactic Empire, at least one Nebula Star Destroyer (now called the Defender-class Star Destroyer) was still in service at the time.
Endurance-class Fleet Carrier - Built by the Republic Engineering Corporation for the New Republic. Like the Nebula, the Endurance-class Fleet Carrier was built as part of the New Republic Modernization Program. And Speaking of Nebula, the Endurance was built with the basic hull and systems of the Nebula. The Endurance Carriers served as parts of modern New Republic fleets. The Endurance can carry squadrons of K-Wings, E-Wings, A-Wings, X-Wings, and Defender Starfighters. However, weapons had to be sacrificed to make room for that many fighters. Endurance Carriers only had secondary armament of 12 turbolaser cannons, 20 laser cannons, 8 ion cannons, and 4 tractor beam projectors. With a high fighter capacity and low amount of heavy weapons, the Endurance Carriers had some sort of resemblance to the Venator-class Star Destroyers (that were used by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars).
K-Wing
I’ve started collecting Star Wars X-Wing models! I can’t take credit for these paint jobs since it comes out of the box that way! I wanted to make sure that I have enough ships for each of the three factions so I can do 3 player battles at home. The models are extremely light and very detailed. From what I understand, X-Wing has a lower cost entry point than Armada.
