I'm at seaaon 7 and I have to say that the new rookies storylines are interesting to watch because they would go back to the core of the show and I'm excited about that.
Although the fact that Celina has only been 9 months into her rookie year seems unbelievable, especially when only she could start wearing short sleeves and have plain clothes day.
It also means that chenford has gotten together as a couple and broke up and dealing with the aftermath all in 9 months.
The timeline is even wonkier when you add in Angela's pregnancy who also seemed to find out she's pregnant (probably a few weeks into the pregnancy) and then having that baby be a few months now.
Aside from the logistics, I like the new rookies storyline and I didn't like Miles at first with his bravado but he's starting to grow on me. Which is not the case with Seth, he makes the dumbest mistakes and has an excuse for everything, I just feel like he's looking for pity and using Lucy’s empathy against her. Who drops all of his stuff from his belt during a chase anyway?
Now, James and Nyla, I'm glad they're getting their own story now and their different opinions on policing were bound to cause trouble. I just don't know if they can ever get passed the elephant in the room.
I don't have that much of a problem with Bailey for now. But she's definitely not the reason I watch the show. Sometimes I believe John forgets who's married and thinks he should solve her problems for her.
I don't know how I feel about Wes and Angela's story. Graham is definitely someone to look out for. But I don’t think Angela would do anything with him. She loves Wesley.
It's fun to see Lucy being a TO and seeing her TO style while Tom is his usual hard self. He's softened when it comes to his personal life but not professionally which is what Miles needed for a TO. He needed to get off from his high horse. This ain't Texas anymore.
I'm just wondering how much time there was between the chenford break-up and the season premiere, if we go off Celinas rookie year, it can't have been that much. But they're definitely friendlier than they were before. You can still see glimpses of Lucy being hurt and angry but they softened a bit. As for Tim, he does seem to keep his promise of accepting kindness in small doses. Being there for her but also letting her do her thing. You can tell he's gasping at every straw to get close to her, which includes the bet. It's definitely not professional but he tends to forget that part around Lucy.
For now, I'm liking the season so far. I can't wait to see what happens next.
