WIP Wednesday Thursday
My first WW post of the year! Ty to all who have tagged me over the few months! Today's theme is eyes 👀 Titles omitted because it's a secret for now <3 For those who do know, it's OUR secret <3
WIP #1
Tears are still running down his cheeks and without thinking, I lick them. My tongue follows the wet line leading towards the corner of his eye. I end it with a kiss, hoping that maybe the brush of my lips would seal away his tears. My lips don't stop there. I peck kisses on every part of his face that I like: his forehead, just below his widow’s peak; his eyebrow, the one he loves arching; and then, his eyelids that hold those grey eyes. The same eyes I spent most my life trying to figure out the colour of. I used to have this dumb belief that if I could just pinpoint the exact name or shade, I'd finally understand a little more about him. Tonight, his eyes are more of a blue than a green. Maybe it’s because of the moonlight. Maybe it’s because of his tears. I continue placing kisses on his face. I give plenty down his nose to the end where it’s slightly crooked. I did that. His nose deserves extra kisses.
WIP #2
She tells Snow, “Behind you.” He quickly turns around, his desperate, blue eyes searching frantically, looking everywhere around me. Then his eyes meet mine and instead of immediately looking away, his gaze lingers, searching inside my eyes as if staring long enough might reveal what he’s looking for. He's exhausted; we've been doing this for weeks. It takes every fibre of my being to not scream out, "I'm here, Simon, you've found me! I've been here with you this whole time! You don't have to look for me anymore; you can finally rest." But I don't. Because I've already tried, and the outcome is always the same. I know this time won't be any different, yet I still find myself holding my breath just in case. As if a spell was broken, he blinks a few times and with a frustrated growl, he turns back towards the nymph and says, “No one's there.” “What do you seek—” “Forget it.” Snow says, storming off.
