sepideh recently said that s3 will unpack the fact baran has implemented several changes that have made the department function better and that it has positively supported the people working there, and that it will show robby’s first day back and his reaction to it all. first off, big fan of that and i knew she’d run that shit 10x better than him, sorry not sorry. second, my guess is that robby did not really actually get better over those three months, and that seeing the department run so well without him will make him spiral even more than before, which will probably affect the people around him quite a lot.
that does sound like a natural progression of where we left off and what we discussed in season 2 i guess, except this time robby doesn’t have the same authority(or maybe respect?) and we’ll be working with a group of people who are now fully acclimated to baran and her management style, and probably have come to realise the flaws and gaps in robby’s leadership. at least, that’s what i’m expecting or what i would find interesting to unpack. i’m curious to see how that will go, especially since i didn’t love season two nearly as much as expected. regardless, this sounds like a good premise that they could deliver well, but i’ll have to see for myself!
