The thumbnail: *Shows a pic of a Barbie villain I always thought was one of the more cool and interesting of the barbie rogues gallery, and always kinda wished there was a sequel exploring his backstory.*

RANDOM FANDOM THOUGHT: I can still see you stealing my old posts, cutting off my account header, and posting them on LSA, you know. So I guess you've got more than the one account here I already blocked? Fuck off.
It happens so rarely for me, but there's nothing quite like the pain of knowing I'd adore a ship while also being aware I'd hate actually experiencing the canon they're from

Talked to a former fandom friend I knew well over a decade ago after having fallen out of touch only to realize in real time that they're now a transphobe. It's naive, but I hope I'm alone in that experience.
Major Spoilers for Doctor Who and Naruto, if that matters to you.
I don't know what's up with people taking characters whose defining trait/interest comes from them being a nobody and making them into a 'chosen one' or super special whatever, but we need to stop doing that. Seriously.
Robin Hood going from some lower-class dude in the woods who steals from the rich to give to the poor becoming 'noble who was forced to flee and became an outlaw'?
The Doctor from Doctor Who going from 'some guy who only survived the extinction of his species by being a coward and still feels guilty over it' to becoming 'super special magic kid who gave the Time Lords their regeneration abilities'?
Naruto going from 'kid trying to show the world that even if you're an outcast you can still become great' to becoming 'super special reincarnation of an alien goddess' son' or some shit?
Like, goddamn! What is it with writers taking characters whose entire intrigue stems from being a nobody and making them into 'super special chosen ones'???? What the fuck?! Can we just not have 'normal guy who becomes great' anymore???
Not sure if I’ll ever get around to writing my review/thoughts on Fifties Professionals, but in case I don’t, let me say this: I know that all three actors are super busy and the action sequences are extremely taxing on both the actors, fight choreographers, and the crew, so it likely wouldn’t happen, but I’d love a second season to this show.
I can just see them being commissioned on the dl for a difficult mission. Homyung, Jaesoon, and Beomryeong bicker constantly about who’s the strongest/lagging behind/etc. during the job, while Gongbok just watch the usual trash talking as he does the tech work. Youngae provides them with intel from her side of the law; Mikyoung does field surveillance.
Anyway. Yeah. I just want to watch more of the trio ragging on one another while simultaneously being stone cold fr
