These two have yet to be wed. Though they are thinking about it! But they still call each other their wife when they talk to players who may not have met one or the other before. This mainly applies with grimora talking about juno.
Player: "Excuse me miss grimora but where does that other bridge go to?"
Grimora: "Oh! That bridge leads to the isle of shadows My dear. It is where my wife Juno, the scrybe of shadow resides and she is incredibly sweet! You should go and visit her during your travels I am certain that she will be more than happy to see you!"
She just adores calling Juno her wife even though they aren't married. Juno wants to propose to Grimora, she even has a ring that she got the Prospector and Bernard to help her make. It's a gold band with a bat wing engraving on it and a tear drop shaped diamond on that has an a black onyx gem on either side of it. It's neatly kept in a black velvet box that Juno keeps hidden away in a vanity drawer in her room cause she is too scared to propose!
She knows that she doesn't have to worry about rejection but she is just a shy little shadow that panics when she even thinks about proposing. Someone help this gal out!!

So quick second of context in my inscryption au shadows of the game/ SG!verse for short. At the end of the game when the players play cards with each of the scrybes,as everything is getting deleted. They can battle juno who's battle would be before magnififcus's Juno starts to reminiscence her time with the other scrybes and especially Grimora. During her battle the player can "ask" questions about her time with them by playing specific cards that depict each scrybe that she drew with normal ink rather than shadows and when asked about Grimora well then she really begins to reminisce.
And as I thought of that I realized that Juno would defiently sing this song if ya know she was able to/time to do so. And during the song she would use her shadow abilities to create little figures on the table to act out the memories she's reminiscing about:
But needless to say, after the reupload she was rather distraught. She thought the deletion was going to be the end, that she would never see the others again only to wake up again in a regenerated world. Her emotions went haywire leaving her unable to control her form and go into her "Untameable" form for several days.
It was only when Grimora heard about what was going on that the two reunited as she heared to the shadow realm to calm down her precious shadow. It took a few hours, an apology and alot of comfort but eventually Juno reverted back into her normal form before collapsing into the Scrybe of Dead's arms. Grimora stayed in the realm of shadows for a few week till she was certain she was okay. And during that time they were able reconnect, make amends and realize that with this new start they can finally live happily ever after.
It took a long time and a lot of pain to get there, but now they could finally live in peace without ever having to worry about the OLD_Data or the cycle ever getting inbetween them ever again
So yesterday I was thinking about headcanons for my ship with Juno and Grimora and one that stuck in my head was how they met
So for those who may/may know Juno has an ability called "Shadow walking" which essentially means that she can pass through shadows and use them as a way of transporting herself to where ever she wishes to go in an instant.
Weeellll back when she was learning this skill far far far before the events of the game Juno decided to let the shadows take her to someplace she had never been at random. The shadows decided to lead her inside Grimora's crypt unfortunately just a few short feet away from the shadow she walked out of there was a lip in the floor and Juno tripped on it. And because everything in the crypt tends to echo the fall/landing of said fall was sooo loud that Grimora came rushing out from her spot from behind the tombstones thinking that it was a challenger only to find a very embarrassed cobwebbed covered Scrybe of shadows sitting on the floor nursing her head.
And after a brief explanation, some tea and an ice pack the two of them introduced themselves to each other. And that was how they ended up first meeting. Juno is always really embarrassed by the memory but still gets at least a good small laugh out of it and that's what counts.
When I was working on the refs for Bernard, Alder and Eira i got the idea to do a post about the firs headcannons that popped into my head for each of them and Juno. And now I've decided to actually do that, so here are some random headcanons for Juno and her mini bosses let's go!
--Misty
Juno:
-Before she found the OLD_DATA she was a lot more out going and less secretive. However after discovering it on accident she became more reserved as the old data frightened her and not wanting anyone to go through what she had just saw and learned she took on the roll of hiding as much of the data as she could in and became more reserved in order to keep it hidden
-She actually has wings however she does not use or summon them that often now that she's perfect her shadow walking ability and most don't even know that she has them. They only time they are revealed is if she is enraged or needs to get really high up in the air. The style and form of her wings changes with each circumstance. When they are summoned out of anger they look more like bat wings, and when its just for flight they are feathered
-Her favorite snack/dessert is strawberry shortcake and lemon meringue macarons with tea. However she enjoys alot of diffrent sweets incuding various candies and desserts. The only thing she doesn't like are any type of cinnamon or licorice candies, she'll snack on them if there isn't anything else around but it's not her favorite
-The dress that she wears is actually something that she made herself in her sewing/drawing room and she actually hand crafts new clothes for her miniboss's whenever they need new ones.
-Her first official date with Grimora was a night time picnic the had after a nice walk together. However they ended up staying out too late and had to run back to Grimora's crypt for the day as the sun began to rise before Juno was able to head home. They ended up spending the next day playing cards and taking naps since Juno is not a day person. Juno actually ended up falling asleep in the midst of a game but Grimora has never told her about it.
Bernard:
-Before he became the Gatekeeper he was actually human. However when Juno found him he was incredibly injured and was on the brink of death, in order to save him she took part of his shadow and inscrybed it into a card however she did not use all of it. In doing so it gave Bernard a life line and back to full health however it resulted in him turning into a shadow in the process however he does not mind. This card isn't available to challengers or anyone for use. Not even Juno herself and it is kept in a safe place where no one
-He's very carrying of his Shadow hounds and hound pups as he sees them as his little guard dogs and treats them as well as he possibly can and when not on guard duty he can be found playing catch with them. And if a challenger/visitor ask he'll let them pet one of the Shadow hounds if they ask politely
- He is the one that actually taught Juno how to fence, she saw him training in one of the small training grounds located in the gardens and offered to teach her. He is usually the one to be the judge of her and Grimora's sword duels if Eira is to busy to do so.
-Whenever things are slow and finished patrols early Bernard tends to enjoy his free time sitting down and reading a book or two. He finds most genres to be fascinating however he enjoys fantasy novels and adventure books the most as it reminds him of his days of being a knight. He also likes to read shakespear from time to time and is the only mini boss that can read, recite and understand it by just glancing at it. Its actually rather impressive to see if you can get him to read it aloud.
Alder:
-Oddly enough he has a minor allergy to bees. It isn't too bad he can be near them and be perfectly and he doesn't require an epipen however if he gets stung he gets really sick, not with hives or anything just kind of feverish for a day or two.
- He has a pet cat named Delilah, it's a It is the shadow equivalent of a rag doll cat. Delilah is often seen sitting in his satchel if there isn't anything in it or resting on his lap whenever he is taking a break from gardening. And she purrs LOUDLY! Like the cat sounds like a tiny motor when she purrs it is adorable. And sometimes terrifying when out of no where you hear this cat purring like a flipping motorcycle engine just from a single head pat.
-Alder actually knows how to us a bow and arrow, he learned how to use it during his travels before he retired and came to live with the shadows In Juno's domain. He can use both a normal bow and arrow and a cross bow however he is much better with the former rather than the latter. He still has his old bow and arrow too though he doesn't really use it as much anymore
-Despite not leaving the shadow domain too often he is actually good friends with the Trapper and Trader as he had met them on his travels. They tend to send letters to one another in order to keep in touch and very rarely will he go and visit them. He only does so if Juno has business to attend to in Leshy's domain. But during their little get together they'll trade and chat about how things have been over tea.
Eira:
-She is the only shadow that has any for of iris to her eyes. All other shadows including animal shadows and juno have solid color eyes. Eira is the only one that has complex eyes and its part of the reason when she keeps them closed beside her icy cold stare
-Because her eyes are always clothes she's learned how to get around through listening to what's around her and feeling vibrations in the ground. She can map out her surroundings easily so long as she either has something to hear or can sense through stamping her foot against the ground and feeling for the vibrations.
- Her hands are naturally very cold and this ties into her mechanics with her ice themed cards and her special card sigil "Petrification" Because of this if she is handling shadow animals or is bandaging an injured traveler/visitor/challenger she'll put on a pair of gloves to counteract this chilling touch of hers. However despite this she gives really warm hugs.
- She knows how to speak french and can be heard singing in the language whenever she is out hanging laundry or sweeping the small porches of the house. Her singing voice is rather calming to hear even if most can't understand what she is saying half of the time.

Juno totally bought the official explanation for the Jedi purge. She believed that the Jedi had tried to take over the republic and tried to assassinate the chancellor and that the Clones had stopped them. That only increased her adoration of them, and as far as she’s concerned they’re the galaxy’s greatest heroes and it takes years for her to think otherwise.
