Hey what do you think of this quirk I've thought of? I was thinking a cool quirk would be that they can stop time but only while they hold their breath. Also second question what quirk would you want ?
Ha well I just went through headcanon land :pHope that’s alright! (No need to follow through with any of these ideas, but they’re the first thing that popped in my head when thinking about that kind of quirk) ^^
I think water would be their weaknessWhen time is stopped everything stopsWater that once flowed is now solidTheory they could walk/run on water, but only as long as they could hold their breath, but if they hold their breath under water and accidentally activate their quirk they would be trapped in a solid wall of water, unable to breathe because there’s no air, and if they breathe water they’ll drown, but they’ll suffocate anyway so they avoid swimming like the plague. Accidentally activating their quirk could kill them.In a fight it would be relatively useful, but they’d have to time it perfectly.Breathing is essential for keeping power in one’s limbs, and stopping time too frequently would leave the user lightheaded. There are times when people just stop breathing, so the quirk would probably only activate during times of stress (Fight or Flight) and holding one’s breath while compelling the quirk to activate. The quirk cannot be dispelled until the user starts breathing again (hence the danger of water)
The quirk may be shared, but only through direct contact, and the other person has to hold their breath too. If they breathe, the effect dissipates for the other even if the user is still holding their breath.
Hmm… A quirk I would want… that’s difficult. Ah! I think it would be cool to be able to control little pockets of weather. Like as a kid it’d start out as like a personal bubble, like creating a breeze or a bit of fog that would surround my hands. Then with age and practice the area of control would widen, never getting larger than the coverage of a small city, but that wouldn’t be until I’m well in my 40s or later. Manipulating weather is a huge drain on stamina, but everything is connected. If I pay attention to natural air currents, moisture levels, heat indexes, and whatnot I’d be able to test to see if I could *nudge the weather rather than force it. (nudging weather is a slower process, but less draining on the user’s body)
If I were to be a hero I’d probably focus on disaster relief, but I wouldn’t refuse a cry for help either while on patrol. With that quirk I’d have to keep my energy levels up, and I’d probably get cold easily. Think of sending waves of energy out through the body, and that energy latches onto weather patterns. The catch, I’d need extensive knowledge of each area’s climate, so I don’t accidentally screw the area over for a short time after. If I try to control too much or for too long, I’ll end up passing out. Migraine central. Ugh.Â
Haha but yeah I think that’d be cool.
