Oh, and then, despite him acknowledging that I have had asthma for 22 years, he talks to me about my asthma like... I’ve only just got it? “Oh, you’re only supposed to use your inhaler for rescue emergency situations.”

I... am aware. My asthma is so bad that I need to use it more often than I would like.

“Here, let me hand you these two important information packets.”

Both are about basic asthma shit that I could probably explain better than he could.

Like??? This asshole doctor couldn’t even tell me if the preventative for my asthma he sent to the pharmacy was covered by my insurance or not. How the fuck is any of this supposed to help me then? I come to you because my asthma has been even worse than usual and I need something to help with that and the previous preventative gave me daily severe migraines, and you give me a different one that you’re not even sure I’ll be able to get.

And instead of trying to help me figure out the problem behind my consistent “pain level 4-8″ headaches I’ve had for a year (which I kept having to repeat to him) he decided to take five fucking minutes of our “I only have fifteen minutes with you, so what’s the most important of your problems right now?” time to lecture me on my weight, lack of exercise, and how I should get blood work done to make sure I don’t have any problems because of my weight.

According to him I am, basically, forty or so pounds overweight. Which I mean that’s not GREAT at all, but... but I don’t think it’s as concerning as he was trying to make it sound, and I have BIGGER MORE IMMEDIATELY LIFE THREATENING PROBLEMS. LIKE. MY. FUCKING. ASTHMA.

ALSO, despite me saying “I haven’t had that filled for a while though I’d like to have it for bad days” about the liquid albuterol, he... was just all “Oh that’s good” and didn’t? Fill it??? (And then, as I mentioned, lectured me about using my inhaler so often. WELL THEN WHY DON’T YOU FILL THAT LIQUID SHIT SO I CAN DO THOSE AWFUL TREATMENTS AND GET MY ASTHMA UNDER CONTROL WHEN IT IS ACTING UP, INSTEAD OF OVERUSING MY INHALER?)

I just... hate doctors? They don’t LISTEN, they’re more interested in pushing you out of the office as fast as possible, and half the time they treat you like you’re an idiot that must know nothing about your medical issue that you’ve HAD FOR YOUR WHOLE LIFE BASICALLY.
