It's my birthday! It's also roughly the two and a half year anniversary of me joining this Fandom, which feels like a milestone.

As of now, I've written 75 works for Julie and the Phantoms. 75! That's crazy. Sure, I'd say a lot of my strength lies in exploring small ideas, or in condensing a concept into something short, but... 75!

If you're reading this, I love you! There are so many amazing, talented people in this Fandom and to know you even tangentially is a blessing ❤️ I doubt I would've ever written so much if I wasn't surrounded by so many other passionate creatives.

reggie is a documentary maker and moderator who gets assigned to work with famous rock climber bobby wilson and his friends, to document how they live and what they do and all that combs with that kind of sport part of his camera crew is made up of other professional climbers to get good shots, among them willie who's famously married to weatherman alex mercer, who's tagging along as well as his geology phd student luke who really just wants to write about cool rock formations reggie hates heights and thinks bobby is a bit of a dick, bobby just agreed to the documentary for monetary reasons so they have Tension, and bobby's girlfriend julie (also professional climber) is very tired of it because it's obvious they're into each other shenanigans, the softest nerdiest willex and me rambling about stuff i'm interested in plus jukebogs being idiots are what's in store ksdfhdshg

Okay phd bobbers poly is one of my favourites cos I get to live out my dreams of being a phd student Ahdkglh. So basically the premise is that jatp are a very successful and functioning band, and Bobby is Reggie’s boyfriend that he met because he’s Nick’s best friend and Nick and Willie know each other bc of their parents and Willie had a big birthday party that included Bobby and jatp. Reggie is also dating Julie and Luke, and has been for even longer than he’s known Bobby.

Jatp had a really long tour, so juke didn’t wanna renew their lease bc they’re also looking for a Place To Settle Down, so when they come back from tour what’s the logical conclusion? Crash in their boyfriend’s boyfriend’s house because it’s super big bc his dad is rich, and he has stupid hours as a phd student with insomnia, so it’ll basically be like having their own place half the time.

The problem? They kinda… get used to living with reggie and Bobby. The bigger problem? Bobby is an over caffeinated, overstressed and overworked post grad student who spends all his time either working on his thesis, grading papers for the class he ta’s, and trying to fix the lives of the kids in the class he ta’s. The biggest problem? Juke and Bobby are fucking stupid and Reggie finds it way too funny watching them blatantly not notice what’s going on to step in, which leads to a spiral of these idiots pining while Reggie watches and laughs

It’s a rare pair but also I love them

So the willex witch au is basically based on that post about a goth (flyrrie) house being mistaken for the witch’s (sunset curve’s) house, because the witch’s house is super pretty and neat and the witch is a pretty guy. Anyway, it kinda expanded from there, of Willie (looking for a way to untangle his soul from caleb’s) and Julie (looking for a way to move on past her mom and learn to sing and make music again) are looking for the witch, run into flyrrie first, and then get to the witch’s house. I’m currently thinking eventual jukebogs because I love it, and willex obviously :)) just a lot of magical mishaps and mayhem, and the guys helping Julie and willie through some Stuff™️

When Bobby walks into the studio, the first thing they see is Julie curled up on the couch, her head resting on Reggie’s shoulder. His arm is wrapped around her shoulders, and as Bobby’s eyes trail downwards, he sees her hand resting on Luke’s shoulder as he lies with his head in Reggie’s lap, his legs extending off to the other side. They all have their eyes closed, and Reggie’s snores are soft and gentle.

A soft smile graces Bobby’s lips as they cross the floor to the couch, sitting on Julie’s other side. She stirs, cracking an eye open and peeking at them as they slide an arm across her shoulders. Just because she’s not necessarily their girlfriend doesn’t change the fact that they care about her. She’s Luke’s girlfriend, and Luke is their boyfriend, and Reggie proudly says he’s boyfriend to all three of them, and that’s all that counts.

“We got tired,” Julie informs them, her voice a quiet, sleepy murmur. “Reggie wanted to nap, and Luke got his lap first.”

Bobby sits still for a moment, thinking. “Do you want to lie on my lap?” They pat their legs, and Julie doesn’t hesitate, slowly dislodging herself from under Reggie’s arm and climbing over Bobby. They carefully reposition themselves, Bobby taking Julie’s place next to Reggie (and gently kissing his temple), and Julie lying across their lap, her head brushing against Luke’s. Bobby ends up with one arm over Reggie’s shoulders and the other loosely holding Julie in place, and before long, they feel their eyelids drooping too.
