Since my writing output has been a bit slower recently, I figured I’d update my readers on what’s upcoming.
HEART HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT: working on chapter six, but it’ll be two weeks probably. I’m so eager to get back really moving on this one. One of my faves of all the fics I’ve written.
OMEGA BOYS ARE SWEETEST: epilogue almost done. Will post in the next four weeks.
Next up? The final story in my Millington Series, a Luke Hughes/John Marino story.
So, I promise I’m working on these. It’s just coming more slowly due to life stuff. I really appreciate all of you who read my stories! 💜

She glances at the sleeveless boy—Luke, she guesses, only to find he’s already looking at her. His face turns a light shade of pink once he realizes he’s been caught, but then his eyes flick to the boy in front of him.
“It’s okay. Just please, keep it down. Or maybe play at a normal time?” Julie considers throwing in that she’s trying to protect them from Flynn’s wrath, but decides against it.
“Of course,” he agrees. “We—”
He’s cut off by loud buzzing coming from inside the apartment behind him. The three of them immediately cover their ears, with Luke quickly turning around to reveal a third boy with a bass guitar strapped to his shoulders and frantically pulling different cords from the amp next to him.
“I’m not doing it! I can’t get it to stop!” Reggie shouts.
The blonde boy hurries over and rips the power cord out of the wall, effectively silencing the amp.
As Julie brings her eyes back to Luke, she realizes there’s a 4th person present. An older man stands next to the amp. He looks like a roadie Julie’s mom used to have to help her out at her shows. “Wait, can you see me?”
She tries to avert her gaze, but it’s too late. “You can see me!” the ghost exclaims.

Finally, the story that started in Flufftober 2022 has concluded! I just uploaded the final chapter of my Little Mermaid AU for Julie and the Phantoms. Happy Julie and the Phantoms Week, everyone!
Alex stared into the polished mother of pearl surface, studying his reflection. For formal occasions like weddings, even mer-people wore clothing–or their version of it. He was trying to figure out if he looked stupid in the short tight vest that matched his green eyes and tail, accentuated by the peachy pink coral necklace and matching arm bands.Â
“I feel so overdressed,” he grumbled to Luke and Bobby, who were currently arguing over which of them looked better in the dark brown, almost black of Willie’s vests. For marriages between Royals, the attendants wore the colors of their opposite’s tails and eyes. According to Willie, his twin and three younger sisters were ecstatic over their green bustiers and abalone shell jewelry. Willie would wear coral, matching Alex, symbolizing their new union. Luke’s and Bobby’s necklaces and armbands were the multicolored spiral mollusk shells of the Atlantic empire–some of the rarest in the world.
“Pfft, you’re rocking it, bro,” Luke told him sincerely. He then spoiled the effect by flexing his biceps at Alex. “I mean, not as rad as me, but Willie likes you, for whatever reason.”
“You’d look good to Willie in a seashell bikini top like the girls wore on Mom's day,” Bobby told him.
“Actually, seashell bikinis are still a thing in Atlantica,” Alex pointed out, tugging at his necklace. *Is this tighter than it was in the fitting?*, he wondered.
“Wow, totally retro,” Reggie said, swimming in just in time to catch his last sentence. “Do you think I could visit Atlantica now?”

His breath fanned across her cheeks, face turned low conspiratorially, and gaze muddled where the light caught the tear sitting in his eyelashes. He slashed it away.
“I hate this. I hate this, I’m sorry,” he sighed.Â
Julie looked away from him and over to the sliver of the green room visible through the propped-open door. Every few seconds, the blur of Alex’s pink hoodie would pass in and out of view from his pacing. She hoped someone would hug him soon. He did better with a long, firm hug when he was anxious.
Reggie gave good hugs, her mind supplied.
I could go for a hug, her mind whispered.
“I just… I think you needed to know all the facts, you know? Uh.” He turned his body so that his shoulder rested on the wall, crossed his arms, and hunched into the posture.  “And it’s not fair, Jules, I get it, okay? I debated even saying anything, but Luke wasn’t gonna say anything about it and that seemed… really unfair. Like, to all of us, but even to you.”
She nodded. A kind of numbness had spread down to her fingers, a frigid cold. She couldn’t move. He was right to tell her, probably. Maybe. Why did the right thing have such a sting to it?
“Can I… what’re you thinking?”
She sunk her teeth into her bottom lip. Shrugged. Tried to remember if she’d blinked since this conversation took a turn for the miserable. Had she breathed?
“Do you, uh, d’you need a hug? Or… I can leave? Give you a sec to… think?”
She didn’t remember answering him at all but the next thing she saw was his red suspenders—the only thing visible in the dim lights of the backstage hallway—as he scurried back to the green room where the rest of the band was preparing to go on.Â
To play in front of how many execs? To take the step that had launched how many bands into legendary status? To snag a manager, sign a contract, play a sold-out world tour.
She was only just getting her fingers to move again, loosened from the grip of her grief-induced rigor mortis and flitting across the keyboard. She hardly had the nerve to play the school dance a few weeks ago and that with the help of the boys. World tour? Stardom? No, they knew she wasn’t there yet.Â
But they were. Wasn’t that the point?
She pushed up from the wall, weighing in at a million pounds, and waited for the churning in her gut to pass. Oh, yeah, she was gonna cry.
The light from the green room poured over her face, making her wince as she entered, and then there was Luke, grinning down at her until her saw her expression. He faltered.
“What’s wrong, boss?” Luke, sweet and boisterous Luke, had a way of pitching his voice so low and soft she felt as if she could curl into it. Wear his song like a cloak, gaze up into his eyes, and find all the choicest words. He made her so much better, and for the longest time, they had agreed that she did the same for him.
Luke thought she was his star. Julie was suddenly realizing that all the stars of chance had simply been reflected off of her. He couldn’t see the truth of her through all the blinding light.
She remembered Bobby’s gaze dropping to the floor, his mouth moving. We got an offer.
That’s great, Bobby!
He grimaced. Luke’s hesitating.
Julie looked down to see that her hands had gripped onto Luke’s in a vice, and she began to register the callouses on his fingertips. He was wearing his dad’s old flannel—the one he’d return once the band had made it big. Once he had proven himself to them.
“Jules, you okay?” She met his worried gaze and managed to smile.
“I’m yack-in-a-bowl nervous for you guys.” Not technically a lie. His mouth flickered with a smile, huffing a laugh.Â
“We’re gonna kill it, just like we always do.” He smirked.
“You are,” she agreed, fiercely. “And you’ll get a manager.”
“Release an album.”
“Go on tour!” She beamed at the thought of all of his dreams coming true.
“And then be inducted into the—“
“—the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame,” they finished together. Part of it still felt like childish fantasy, except in the moments when she could hear the crowd chanting their name. She met Bobby’s eyes over Luke’s shoulder.
He held the gaze for a second before finally looking down at his hands where he was twirling his ring on his finger.
A stagehand knocked and gave the one-minute warning. Alex, Bobby, and Reggie filtered toward the door, the former two pulling the latter along when he seemed like he was going to summon Luke.
Luke set a knuckle under Julie’s chin and she refocused. “Sure you’re okay?”
“Of course!” She said too brightly.
Luke glanced at where the boys had gone and then back to her with pursed lips. He seemed to debate with himself for a second. Let it go. “Okay, well, I’ll see you after? I kinda wanna talk to you about something? Big.”
“He’s gonna ask you out, which we’re all really happy about! For real. But. I don’t want this to come out wrong. It’s just—you should have all the information, y’know?”
As soon as she could loosen her grip, Julie let go of Luke.Â

The barest hint of hot, dry air ruffled against the baby hairs on the back of her neck doing little relief. Long gone were the multi-layered stage outfits, having learned she needed something more breathable underneath the stagnant tent two days ago at the start of the music festival. Instead, she wore a poofy crop top with shorts, and she could feel Luke’s eyes roaming the revealed skin of her shoulders, midriff, and legs with each song they sang together. He'd been winding her up with each set.
Her hands grip the top of the mic stand as she leans into where the mic sits, holding herself in place where normally she would be dragging it over to share with Luke in this moment. But they are halfway through the seventh and final set and his eyes weren’t the only thing she could feel looming nearby. Just outside the Loud & Local tent sat the “Chapel of Love”. And the next lyrics were too close to vows that she might do something stupid if she got too close to him. Why had they written them this way, again?
They hadn’t seen the simple archway that signified the “chapel” when they had arrived to set up, the van being parked on the other side of the tent that held the stage that they would share with four other bands over the three day festival. And when they finally had a chance to roam the festival grounds, Reggie pulling them to the food truck selling fancy milkshakes, they saw it but didn’t know what it was. Even on the information board sporting a map, it was just a tiny innocuous dot.
It had been later on a water run that Alex and she saw a small gathering of people under it, two of them sealing their love with a kiss. Apparently, you could get married at this festival.
"Huh," Alex had said, taking a drink from his bottle and then resting his arm on her shoulder. "That's a decision."
"I don't know. I think it's kind of sweet," she'd responded.
A snort rang out from above her head. "Of course you would say that."
She'd sent an accusatory glare up at him, dropping her shoulder so his arm would fall way. "What's that supposed to mean?"
She had known exactly what he meant though. Her eyes close against the crowd in front of her and drift open to her left, knowing exactly where Luke would be.
She can feel electricity thrum through her body as she begins the call and response moment.
"I've got a spark in me."
She can see the confusion on his face, but he smiles at her as the words slide out of him with ease.
"I've got a spark in me."
She closes her eyes against the assault of love intertwining with the electricity already coursing though her. In her mind, the simple archway looms above them. This is why she was fighting her entire being from going to him. It was too soon. Too impulsive.
"And you're a part of me."
She can't escape the feelings that have been building with each performance they've done this weekend. The euphoria of performing their music with the her best friends, and the man she loves, not caring that she shut her eyes in an attempt to block it out.
"And you're a part of me."
Luke's voice right next to her sends a shiver across her shoulders, her eyes jumping open to see he'd closed the distance to share a mic with her. Not letting her run from him, not realizing she wasn't running. She was trying to reign in some very impulsive thoughts. She can see the concern in his eyes behind the determination and can't help the smile that graces her face, softer than what is normally part of her stage persona.
"Now till eternity."
His response is accompanied by the smile he normally saves for her when they are in the studio. One that Alex and Reggie unfortunately have to put up with because it side tracks things often enough. "Now till eternity."
The mental reigns she's been wrestling are completely forgotten about. She's a goner. Their voices twine together like they have thousands of times before.
"Been so long and now I'm finally free."
The rest of the set goes off without a hitch. The adrenaline and dopamine high intoxicating. She feels Reggie's arm go around her shoulders as Luke's goes around her waist and she looks at all her band-mates with pride. This weekend was amazing and did a lot to promote them, even if they were competing for attention with signed bands that have been around a whole lot longer on two other stages. They take a group bow to the crowd before they disperse like the non-existent wind.
Luke's arm tightens and he leans down to her ear to be heard. "Everything okay?" His voice is raspy and a bit lower than normal from doing seven performances in three days.
Perfect. The word rings in her head, bolstering her onto her toes next to his ear so he can hear her response.
"Marry me." Her own voice rough, lower and more sultry than she expected.
He looks surprised as he processes her words, but not like they made him uncomfortable if that same smile he saves for her lighting up his face means anything.
"Yeah. Okay."
She grabs hold of the hand on her waist, interlacing their fingers as she heads for the exit of the tent with determination. He drags behind her a bit.
"You mean right now??"
The first flicker of doubt hits her. "Yes?"
He drops her hand and scrambles to get the guitar strap over his head. "Oh hell yeah."
Her smile is so big she can feel the ache in her cheeks but she doesn't care. He wants this as bad as she does.
A voice interrupts them. "Uh Julie? Luke? Where are you going? We have to pack up our stuff so Midnight Mayhem can go on."
Reggie looks confused, his thumb pointing over his shoulder off the back of the stage. Alex's looks suspicious. Julie can feel heat soar to her cheeks as she looks up at Luke's face and sees the eager giddiness there and then back at Alex. Yeah, that tracks.
"Sorry guys. Got a little distracted. Band meeting after we get everything packed up."
She pulls Luke back over to their gear to begin packing up. Squeezing his hand before dropping it to unplug her keyboard.
july 2020 the best day of julie’s life, atleast that’s how she wants too remember it. it was the day the boys finally crossed over, and she’s happy, she really is!
but there are these moments when the memories come flooding back and all she can do is watch them. how reggie once got stuck on the roof, even though he can just blip away, or how alex would help her with her homework, or, how luke would look at her when he thought nobody was looking.
she misses his eyes, the way they always had so much warmth, his smile that was too contagious, his songs.
she still kept some, hidden away in her dream box, still hoping that they might come back.
A/n: Thank you so much for requesting, I really hope you love it. I really love doing unique requests so feel free to do more. Oh one last thing I'm sorry for getting this to you so late, I'm on vacation and now just typing this out.

Julie's POV
I was sitting in my math class feeling like the room was spinning. I looked over at the teacher to find her not paying attention so I took my phone out to text Luke about not feeling well.
'Luke I'm feeling super dizzy.'
I sent it, but dint get a respond right away. I knew if I stayed like this it would only get worse so I carefully packed my things since I knew I wasn't coming back to class due to class was about 20 mins away from being done. I slowly walked over to my teacher to ask if I could go to the nurse.
" Mrs. Robinson, I was wondering if I could go to the nurse." I softly asked
She looked up and scanned me over before writing me a pass to the nurse. I quietly thanked her before heading down.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took me a little while to get down there, but I made it. I walked into the room not noticing Luke sitting on one of the beds.
" What can I do for you Julie?" She questioned
I held on to my backpack straps. " I feel super dizzy, and it feels really warm." I said softly
She sighed, but said..." Go sit over on the empty bed by Luke."
I looked over to find Luke. I slowly moved over to sit down. " Seems like we're both under the weather." Luke said softly
I gave him a soft smile. I saw the nurse come back over. " I called both your houses, but there was no answer. Do you both think you can handle the last couple classes." She asked us
I didn't think I could cause every time I stood up it made me dizzy. So that's what I told her. " I don't think I could, I get super dizzy just from standing." I said with a slight cough
She hummed and looked over at Luke. " And you Luke?" she questioned
" I'm fine other than getting hot and cold flashes." he explained
She nodded, " Let me just check your temperature." She said while walking away to grab that."
" Julie you all right? You're looking a little pale." Luke asked with concern
Before I could get anything out I grabbed a near by trash can. As I emptied my stomach Luke moved over to my side and rubbed my back.
" Oh dear..." the nurse said when she come back over then said, "Okay, Julie you will be going home if I can get ahold of your parents. Luke lets take your tempter."
Luke's POV
She put the thermometer in my mouth and we waited. It then beeped so she took to out to see it was close to a fever, but not 100% one yet. She then went back to the room she keeps the supplies. I glanced back to Julie to find her with her eyes closed.
" Jules you okay?" I whispered to her
She opened her eyes and nodded, but I could tell by her face she wasn't. I was going to say something, but the nurse came back out. "All right Julie still no answer do you have anyone else that could pick you up." She softly said
Julie shook her head. I looked over at the nurse and said...
" I can drive her back."
She looked over to me. " Luke, I'm not aloud to unless a parent knows where their child is."
I sighed and tried again. " I get that, but we're family friends we live right next to each other."
She sighed again. " Julie, you okay with him taking you." She questioned
Julie nodded in agreement making me smile and look over at the nurse. " Okay, give me a minute and I'll walk with you guys to the office and explain." She said before walking into her little room and reached for the phone before closing the door.
I then moved my eyes over to her. " Even though I'm sick..." I paused to make sure she was looking. " Doesn't mean I won't take care of you." I finished
She looked over at me and said...
" What if you get worse?"
I shrugged, " I don't mind really I'm fine right now." I told her while grabbing her hand in mine and squeezed it.
Julie smiled and squeezed mine back. The nurse come back and made us follow her to the office.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We were in the driveway of my house and we stayed in the car for a little. I glanced over at her to make sure she was still doing okay.
" You think you can walk the short distance to your house or do you rather just head into mine." I softly questioned
She thought about the questioned before softly saying...
" Can we just go in yours since it's closer."
I immediately nod and got out of my car and moved over to the passenger side. I opened her door and held my hand out for her to grab. She gave me a weak smile and grabbed my hand.
" Thank you." she weakly said
I nodded and led her to my front door. Once I got the door open I walked us to the living room.
" Here you sit right there and I will get you some pain medication." I said walking to the kitchen and walked over to the cabinet and took two before moving to get water. I then brought to over to her.
" Here." I whispered sitting next to her.
She gave me a soft smile and took the medication, I gave her a small smile, " How about you just rest now." I said
" Before I do can I say something." She softly said
Julie's POV
I was nervous to tell him. Luke looked over at me, " Jules you don't have to be nervous." he said
I gave him a small smile. " I know." I whispered
It took me a little bit to get the words out. " I know you're older than me Luke, but I can't help how I feel. I mean if you don't like me that's fine. Um then we can pretend this didn't happen." He interrupted me
Luke rested his hands on my knees. " Jules it's okay..." he paused and took a deep breath. " I like you too." he said
I sniffed a little before saying..." Really"
He let out a soft chuckle. " Yes really."
I felt myself smile. " I would ask for you to kiss me, but..." he interrupted me with his soft lips. " Luke." I exclaimed a little once he pulled away
He had a small smirk, " What?" he said
" You're gonna get more sick." I said concerned
He kissed me again before pulling away. " Already, almost to being sick, love." He said while pushing a piece of my hair back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope this is good, I didn't know how to finish of the end of the request. But I hope you love it. I really hope there's no mistakes if so let me know.
