Riverdale S05x02 "The Peppy Murders"

CAROUSEL: PART 2

 SUMMARY: Your second day in the set of Riverdale. How your friendship with the cast escalates, even more so- your crush on Cole. 

Playful and funny- with a surprise ending.

 A/N: I’ve decided to make 5 parts out of this storY, so I apologize if it’s too slow for your liking :( It’s my first fanfic so I thought I might as well take it slow and make it a good one. Requests are open if you would like to read something else <3 Thanks for reading, here’s a cup of tea !!!!

 Today you have an introductory scene with Cole. The last time you met, which was the day before, he was really friendly and although you didn’t have much of a conversation with him, you could easily tell how cordial and nice he was.

 You arrive really early on set since it’s only your second day ( and also because you were really excited to work with Cole). Mark tells you to rehearse your lines since Cole might take some time to come. You sit there in the hair and makeup room and go through your lines over and over again. It’s a really small scene but you don’t wanna mess it up- for obvious reasons. Lili and Camila soon join you and you guys have a long and easy chat as you get your hair done.

 “So, (y/n)” Lili gives you a cheeky grin “ second day, huh? How’s it going for ya’?”

“Okay, I guess. I have a scene with Cole today” you give her a small smile.

“Ah! Good luck working with that one! He’ll probably arrive late” Lili groans

You snicker at her comment.

“Speak of the devil” Camila remarks as a handsome and sleepy Cole enters the room like he owns the place!

“Was that for me? Aw Cam, you really know how to crush a poor guy’s spirit early morning” Cole makes a puppy face. AND YOU SWEAR YOU COULD’VE JUST DIED RIGHT THEN AND THERE.

You try to keep you cool and stay quiet. “ (y/n), was it?” Cole walks towards you “we have a scene today”

 “Yeah” you quietly answer and give him a small smile. Lili and Cam snicker at how shy you get around other people. “Be nice to her okay, Cole!” Lili warns

Cole rolls his eyes, “You guys make me sound like I’m such a bad boy” he places his hand on his chest dramatically. He looks up at you and clears his throat,”So my lady, may I escort you to our precious set?” he extends his hand. 

You chuckle and take his hand.

Lili and Cam laugh in the background, “ (Y/N)! You really need to break out of your shell” Cam exclaims

 “Nah, I like her this way. Shy and cute” Cole remarks, and then he looks at Lil and Cam, “ Not like you two crazy ass loud hyperactive oompa loompas” he blurts abruptly and runs out of the room before Lil and Cam gets a chance to hit him- all the while still holding your hand.

 Did he just call you cute?

It has been three weeks since you joined the cast of Riverdale. Everything has been great so far. Your crush on Cole has only gotten bigger, and suprisingly you’ve done a pretty great job in keeping it a secret. I mean, you’re really close with Lili and Cam now, they’re your girls but you still see them as huge tv actresses you take pride in calling them your friends. I guess you happen to feel that way because the show hasn’t gone out yet, so no one really knows who you are.

 Today’s just like any other day. Nothing out of the ordinary. You haven’t seen Cole all day because you had several shots to take care of. You were in the set, practicing your lines when-

“Hey kiddo” you hear a voice from the back.

You turn around to find a certain red-haired guy, “ C’mon KJ! Stop calling me that” you groan. He taps your head like you’re a 5 year old boy and sits next to you.

“Yeah, KJ. She’s an infant. How dare you call her a kiddo?” Cole teases as he makes his way. Ah! As handsome as ever.

“Whatever” you grunt and pretend to be mad.

“Aw, hit a nerve there, did I ?” Cole comes closer to you, making your heart flutter, ”infant” he whispers.

“COLE!” you start hitting him with your transcripts as he and KJ laugh horrendously.

“(Y/N)!” Mark yells

“Okay, guys. That’s my cue. Don’t miss me too much”

Both of them scoffs, “I won’t. I don’t know about KJ though” Cole jokes

KJ pretends to wipe a tear, “I can barely hold it in”

You roll your eyes, “Whatever,” and wave them a temporary goodbye.

What an exhausting day. You’ve had 6 scenes altogether- you’ve never been this tired in set before. Exhausted, sleepy and hungry, you groan and fall on the sofa placed near the stage.

 You decide to take a quick nap before packing. So tired.

You’re awakened, some 10 minutes later, by a very unfamiliar snort and the sound of someone breathing heavily, close to your face.

You yell in fright as you open your eyes to find a hideous face staring back at you.

Damn it, Cole.

He had just beaten all the records of funny faces with this scary one, he had his eyes so big and his mouth of enormous, it scared the living daylights out of you.

This boy, I swear. As much as you adore him, he is also the most annoying person you’ve met! 

“What is wrong with you, Cole!,” you yell, “What is wrong with you,” you hit his arm.

He couldn’t help but laugh out loud, he apparently found it so funny he even had tears form in his eyes, “ HAHA, I knew that would scare you. But not that much. You should’ve seen your face!!”

“Whatever,” you give him an angry face and fix your hair, “ you’re annoying!!!” you make your way out.

“C’mon, don’t be like that!” he runs over to you, “Fine, I’m sorry!” he tries to sound apologetic but he still can’t stop himself from laughing.

 “You’re still laughing, oh my god.”

 “No, No.” he controls his laughter,” Let me make it up to you,” he says.

 Interesting. “How?” you try to sound angry.

“Dinner?” he suggests.

Riverdale Series

So it’s become popular knowledge that Sabrina the Teenage Witch (Sabrina Spellman) will be arriving to Riverdale at some point in the shows future, so here’s my theories on how she’ll tie into the story:

SOUTHSIDE SERPENTS / THE COOPERS

It was confirmed that Alice Cooper grew up on the Southside, which obviously leads to the question was she a Southside Serpent? However, what if that wasn’t the only thing that tied her to the Southside? What if she still had family there?

With Jugheads new mysterious foster parents, I can see Sabrina tying into the story in two ways; either she is the daughter of these foster parents, or/and the foster family is related to the Coopers, and to Alice. We know Alice definitely has some secrets she’s not telling her family, so what if one of these secrets is that her side of the family actually had magic running throughout the generations? 

We know she married into the Cooper family as Hal is the one to tell us the truth about the Cooper/Blossom feud, therefore it makes sense for the Blossoms to not possess these talents. However, if Alice did inherit these magical powers, its likely that she might’ve passed them onto her children.

This would explain Betty's condition/split personality. When she digs her nails in her hands, she’s literally suppressing the magic that she doesn’t know she has. As she says herself, 'There's an overwhelming darkness within her that she cannot control, and it makes her do crazy things'. 

This also would explain Alices initial distaste towards the idea of Polly having children, as Polly may also be carrying the gene. To carry the gene with Blossom blood would also most likely not be the ideal scenario for Alice Cooper.

But where is Sabrina in all this? My prediction for this season is that we see Sabrina and Jughead build a friendship through their living together in the foster house or through Southside High. She may or may not know of Bettys relationship with Jughead, but after seeing Betty in Southside High approaching Jughead, she may decide to use Jughead as a way to get close to her cousin(?). 

Also may I just mention we don’t know Alices’ maiden name. Just saying. 

THE BLOSSOMS 

Many people have theorised the possibility of a ‘zombie apocalypse’ happening in Riverdale, as an arc of the Archie Comics explored this possibility. In the original comics, the apocalypse happened after Sabrina brought Jughead's dog back to life and accidentally initiated the apocalypse. Personally, I hope the show doesn’t follow through with the zombie apocalypse arc, however there is one big clue as to this being a possibility. 

Cheryl has now seen her brother Jason as a zombie twice now. My theory for this is that Sabrina is actually a blossom, and that she will arrive in Riverdale in solidarity for Cheryl and her mother. However, being a Blossom, the magic gene may run in the Blossom family rather than the Coopers. Which explains how Cheryl could predict a zombie apocalypse coming.

I believe that the death of her brother caused Cheryls ‘magic’ genes to kick into full gear, therefore allowing her to predict a possible zombie apocalypse through visions of her dead brother. As Penelope Blossom married into the family, Cliff would be the parent to carry down the gene. Therefore, Sabrina would have to be related to Nana Blossom, and therefore Sabrina arriving in Riverdale could also be caused by her need to look after Nana Blossom.
