That kind of joy I feel whenever I’m with him can’t be paralleled to having others beside me.

The way I can be me without ever thinking that he might just change course or simply leave me doesn’t even bother me.

The way I can simply fall asleep feeling so safe is a homey feeling when I’m with him — knowing that finally, I’m home.

There’s just a lot of difference. The way he holds my hands, the way he brushes off hairs whenever he wants to see my face, the way he sings me to sleep, even the way he cooks our meal and watch me eat almost everything. It’s just… special.

He is special.

This makes me think that maybe there’s something in him too that makes me feel like this. Like I’m seen, adored, appreciated. He makes me feel I’m loved.
