According to director Mark Turowetz, key design decisions of The Wheel of Enormous Proportions (P8) were decided by spinning a wheel, with a possible alternate title for the game being Uncle Spinny and the Mountain of Thinkishness.
Early in development, the spinning section of the game would have only ended if the spinning player landed a skull. During one QA test session, this section went on for 50 minutes.

Other ideas for the timer animation in Drawful: Animate (P8), including a pair of sausage snails, a chicken leading a trail of tiny men, and a frankensteined arm made of several animals. According to Steff Egan, the multi-legged corgi’s name is Alotta Legs.

Custom episodes created for Drawful 2 can be used and played in Drawful: Animate (P8), and vice versa. Quiplash 3 (P7) episodes are also backwards compatible with Quiplash 2 (P3, InterLASHional).
Episodes are compatible across most platforms; however, while cross-platform custom episodes can be published with the PlayStation 4 versions of these games, the PS4 version can only play episodes created by other PS4 users. The reason for this is unknown.

The latter half of the reveal trailer for Job Job (P8) uses M. Bubbles' dialogue to demonstrate the basic structure of gameplay. During this section, words are greyed out from the word bank as they are used, suggesting that at some point in development words could only be used once.
