After spending the afternoon with me yesterday, he told me he's off to Taft to drink with the guys. I said, "Do you have to?" He nodded. Note that I never stop him from drinking, but I was hoping yesterday would be an exception because he has a thesis defense the following day and admittedly told me he has done no preparation whatsoever. I didn't want to sound like a mother so I brushed it off. He got a traffic violation on the way to Taft and it basically ruined his mood for the rest of the night. I told him he should stay and drink a little longer to relax. He said he'll only stay until 9pm. I messaged one of his friends (Alec) and asked him to please cheer up my boyfriend. He messaged about an hour later telling me not that JP and a friend were on the way home. I said "Ok, you take care going home too!" Alec told me that JP will bring their friend home because she's too drunk to function. Wow, my boyfriend's such a sweet and self-less guy, taking care of his friends and all that. I found out from JP himself that he let the girl stay over at his place instead. He assured me he'll be sleeping beside his mother to have the friend sleep in his bed. I was uncomfortable with it, but okay, no big deal. Brushed it off again because it's not my decision to make. The following day (which is today), I was on the phone with JP and we were alright. He was telling me about his thesis defense. I overheard him talking to his mother about the poor drunk friend who stayed over. Apparently, they slept in the same room. I asked JP if I heard this correctly. JP insisted that it was no big deal, because he slept on the beanbag, not beside his friend. Cheating or not, my concern is the non-disclosure of a significant detail that I have the right to know. Not telling me this makes it questionable. Am I wrong for being angry about this?
