After over 40 live jams, this is my first named track. I plan to multi track this in Ableton and make a final product with this song. The Korg Volca Bass, Korg Volca Keys, Roland Boutique JU-06 and Teenage Engineering PO-12 are all on sequencer duty! The Teenage Engineering PO-12 supplies the drums. The Korg Volca Bass handles the starting lead synth line. The Roland Boutique JU-06 tackles a electro style bass line. Last but not least, Korg Volca Keys handles the closing synth lead. The Roland Boutique JP-08, Arturia Microbrute and Microkorg are all played live from the Alesis QX49 via midi. The Alesis QX49 is split into 3 midi ranges, this allows me to control all 3 synths from 1 keyboard. The Arturia Microbrute plays the live sub bass, Microkorg handles the pad while the Roland Boutique plays  guitar.

I’ve failed writing for my synthblog, since I was captured for a reorganization of my studio. The synths are so time consuming ;-) I could not foreseen that I need to spend so much time into this project. However, my instruments or the entire project is my “Sole-Saver”. It charges my mental batteries amazingly just when I have 30 minutes left in front of creativity and rhythm.

A couple of weeks/months ago I’ve blogged about the Aira Series. I was surprised to see that so many visitors followed my invitation and have entered my page to read the blog. Thanks to all the readers out there. I’m not a professional writer but I love to share with you ideas, facts and news. Please don’t hesitate to submit your own ideas comments and suggestions for improvement. 

ROLAND BOUTIQUE

Recently, I have seen the Rolands “reinvention”  of their own most popular synths. The Roland Boutique series:

I’ve seen several youtube videos with demos and sounds. It is really funny to see this beasts in a small compact synth model for example the Jupiter 8 in its reincarnation as JP-08:

All the Roland Boutique Synths seems to be just a limited time at the market. Hats off, Roland marketing is just amazing :-) 

The Synths are a kind of a module which can be docked to a 25-key keyboard , the so called K-25:

The synth module itself can be adjusted in its position for a better view and/or sound programming.

What can I write when others created amazing great valuable technical vids. Here from GAK....

This video here demonstrate what can happen if you play just around 1hour with this cute instruments. I’ve read the comments on that units and they seem all to be very positiv taking into account that this units are app. 400$.

I think they are the money worth since the most “sound” is to be created during mastering and sound editing anyway.
