Little Did He Know // Joy Ride 

As a band, we’d especially like to talk about our scene. Specifically, no one should have to walk out of their house and feel like they are a high target for abuse and assault. No one should have to go to a concert to see their favorite bands and worry about being violated for crowd surfing or having fun.

We’ve said it before and will continue saying that there are no excuses for this to happen. To the people who make it their mission to keep people (especially women) unsafe, we’re sick of the excuses, victim blaming, and culture that you are enabling. 

To the bystanders, we know how hard it can be sometimes to take a stand, but at the same time, it’s what absolutely has to happen. Silence enables violence and normalizes the perpetrator’s behavior. People will have your back. We promise. 

Also, here’s to the badass, powerful, intelligent, and talented women out there performing on a stage while they experience apathy and verbal harassment from members of the crowd. Us and most of the bands we play with, if we catch you doing this to our friends and fellow musicians, fans or any audience member, you will be the one who feels unwelcome and uncomfortable at a show.
