#ManyThanks @the415guy for this #joyousholiday post ・・・ The ‘Tom & Jerry’ Christmas House in Dolores Heights, this morning at sunrise. 🌅 (➡️ Swipe to see a couple other perspectives) Probably the most iconic Christmas house in San Francisco, I was happy to see that it is once again decorated this year after the recent passing of Tom Taylor - one of the owners of the house, and gay rights activist. Tom was the co-founder of The Diversity Foundation of San Francisco, and he and his husband (Jerry) maintained the rainbow flagpole at Castro and Market streets. 🏳️🌈 Tom & Jerry began decorating the house for Christmas back in the 80’s, adorning it with oversized ornaments, stuffed animals, trains, and amazing lights. At times, a Santa has been in front to greet guests and hand out candy canes! It’s beautiful at anytime of day - especially at night when it is fully-illuminated - but I wanted to photograph it this morning because I’d never seen it at sunrise with the morning sun shining upon on it.
