❤: who is more affectionate in public? in private?

They both try to keep the PDA to a minimum, but it’s hard sometimes when they’re trying to catch up on 12 years of kisses. In private, they can’t get enough of each other. Lola is especially cuddly and sweet when they’re alone, a big difference from her stoic persona outside the walls.

♡: who is the bigger romantic openly? secretly?

Both openly and secretly, Thomas is a hopeless romantic. He believes in words of affirmation and acts of service above all else, though cuddles are never astray. In public, he takes a more active role in Lola’s operations, helping her more with her responsibilities as Captain of Security. In private, he’s all words, gentle and romantic even if he sometimes feels speechless.

❥: who is more likely to plan something big for valentine’s day?

Lola. She’d get help from Ava and they’d keep it a surprise rather easily - Thomas can be a tad oblivious at times. It probably wouldn’t be flashy or bold or anything like that, but she’d make it special in her own way. She wants to celebrate their relationship. She’s never really had a proper one before; she’s been his Captain since she was 20 and duty has always taken precedence over her personal life.

ღ: who is more likely to initiate hand-holding in public?

Lola. Especially after almost losing him, she finds herself reaching for his hand whenever she’s at all stressed or anxious. Just knowing he’s still there is comforting for her.

💕: who is more likely to make huge declarations of love in front of other people?

Thomas, who said very long, very heartfelt vows in front of everyone in Prosperity. Lola’s cheeks were ruby red.

💘: who developed a crush on the other first?

It’s difficult to say. They’ve loved each other in some form for 12 years. The transition from platonic love to romantic love was so gradual that neither of them noticed it for literal years. A crush was never in the works - they skipped straight to unconditional, unquantifiable love.

💝: who spends more time (possibly overthinking) what presents to get the other?

Definitely Thomas. Lola is hard to get presents for. She‘s very practical and usually makes or scavenges whatever she needs. He writes her short letters instead. She has a whole shoebox full of carefully folded notes from him.

💓: who initiates most physical contact?

Hmm. Probably Lola. She’s the one who hugs tighter, cuddles closer, and kisses harder. Thomas doesn’t mind at all.

💌: who is more likely to send cutesy texts to the other?

Texting isn’t a thing anymore, unfortunately, but as I mentioned, Thomas does write notes to her frequently.

💟: who spends time reading their zodiac compatibilities?

Lola would. It’d be her guilty pleasure. She’d try to hide it but she’d be out there making sure 2 earth signs can live in harmony and how a Taurus would get along with a Capricorn and so on. The outlook is good, by the way :D

💙: who is more protective?

This is a tough one, because as Thomas’ Captain of Security and the one who loves him, Lola is inclined to protect him on instinct at this point. But overall, he is ever so slightly more protective of her. He’s nearly died for her several times throughout their years together, but he’s also very protective of her personally and likes to make sure she sleeps, eats, and drinks enough.

💚: who tends to get sick more often? who is better at taking care of the other?

Lola’s immune system is a bit weaker than Thomas’ so she gets sick more often than he does. Getting sick after the apocalypse can be dangerous, so if she so much as sniffles Thomas will order her to get some rest. It’s about the only time he “pulls rank” on her. He sits by her bedside and they talk until she’s tired, he brings her food and water and makes sure she gets plenty of sleep, and he just takes care of her in general. She doesn’t like to be fussed over but she has to admit, it’s nice to be alone with him for a while.

💜: who said “i love you” first? or, if neither has said it yet, who is more likely to say it first?

Thomas said it after their first kiss and Lola said it right back in a heartbeat. It felt long overdue.

💛: who believes in soulmates?

5: What’s their full name and does it have a meaning? Do they have any nicknames and how did they get em?

Rhiannon Bronwyn MacGhillain is her full name - the name Rhiannon’s origin is relatively unknown but is thought to trace back to the Old Celtic Rigantona, or “great queen.” Bronwyn means “fair-breasted” which has nothing to do with actual breasts and is more of a statement of pureness of heart. She prefers to identify with her first name rather than her middle name. Pureness isn’t her strongest quality.

10: What do they fear the most?

Obscurity.

11: Their biggest flaw? Do they recognize it as a flaw?

Rhiannon thrives upon chaos, and she absolutely does not recognize this as her biggest flaw. She considers it more of a character trait than anything. A quirk. She refuses to see how damaging it can really be.

12: What are they most insecure about?

She’s insecure with her own feelings. If she so much as hints at feeling sad, hopeless, or otherwise anything but strong, she considers it a show of weakness and refuses to let herself show any kind of emotion that isn’t either anger, satisfaction, or boredom.

23: Do they have a temper or are they level headed?

Oh, she has a temper alright. Just... don’t make her angry. Ever.

26: How do they come off to others? What first impression do they usually make?

who hogs the duvet: STACI.

who texts/rings to check how their day is going: Even before the Reaping, they both did this. The only difference post-Reaping is that there are more texts/calls in a shorter period of time; neither of them likes to let the other out of their sight for very long. Nothing will ever separate them again.

who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts: Staci. He knows Sasha’s tastes like the back of his hand, and he always has a surefire way to make her smile with something she’s never seen before.

who gets up first in the morning: This varies. Pre-Reaping, it was usually Sasha. After everything they’ve been through, though, it really just comes down to whose nightmare wakes them up first.

who suggests new things in bed: Oh, they both do. They suuuuure do. I have a lot of very not-safe-for-tumblr thoughts about their love life ;D

who cries at movies: Sasha, my soft little bunny.

who gives unprompted massages: Staci does, and oof, they are good. They also usually lead to sex.

who fusses over the other when they’re sick: Both, no question.

who gets jealous easiest: Staci, but he’s got enough sense of self to see his jealousy for what it is and stop himself before he ends up fighting with Sasha.

who has the most embarrassing taste in music: Hmm… I guess Sasha, because she likes those “indie covers” that sound like the “waelcome to mayyy keetchehn” vine. 

who collects something unusual: I can’t think of anything unusual either of them would collect, actually!

who takes the longest to get ready: Sasha, but only if she has to do something with her hair. Usually she just runs her fingers through it and can be out the door in minutes.

who is the most tidy and organised: Pre-Reaping, it’s Sasha. But after being freed from Jacob, Staci needs to have everything in a specific place. Sasha is happy to oblige him, but she also knows when to talk him down and get him to let go.

who gets most excited about the holidays: Sasha! She celebrates Hanukah and he celebrates Christmas, and together they combine their family traditions and have one long holiday season of joy and love.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: Staci can’t help but be the big spoon, since he’s 6′1 and she’s 4′9, but sometimes she curls up behind him like a tiny little backpack.

who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports: They’re both super competitive, tbh. Especially when they were younger.

who starts the most arguments: They don’t really argue enough for this to be applicable! They know how to communicate with each other very well.

who suggests that they buy a pet: Well… Sasha, but she doesn’t suggest that they buy a pet… she asks if she can keep Peaches as a housecat of sorts. Staci says yes.

what couple traditions they have: Instead of holding hands, they hold fingers. Staci curls his index and middle fingers around Sasha’s index and middle fingers, like chain links. It started in their friends-with-benefits phase, when they didn’t want to show a lot of affection, but they knew they had strong feelings for each other. Eventually, it became symbolic of their unique bond.

what tv shows they watch together: Not many. Sasha isn’t big on tv… and Staci prefers to watch her anyway. “You’re moving art, mami.”

what other couple they hang out with: Kim and Nick Rye, my girl Chloe and Eli, and, after a very long time, even Jacob and my gal Marilyn when Alex Pratt ends up falling for Catherine Seed.

how they spend time together as a couple: Lots of snuggling, chatting, little trips like to the park or on a picnic. 

who made the first move: Hmm. When they started their friends-with-benefits deal, it was Sasha who made the first move. Later, after being saved from Jacob’s bunker, Staci made the move that would ultimately signify the change in their relationship from platonic to romantic.

who brings flowers home: They both do! Sasha picks flowers and Staci buys them.
