I turned the notes off because it was driving me insane seeing my notifications fill with reblog notes about the Midwest tree thing but I checked out of curiosity to see the notes and there's like. One person that reblogged with a link from CBC or something about how the viral claim is overblown
Like oh shut up we have long since established in the reblogs and replies that they don't really explode, you really don't have to be like that
#joy killers#I shared it because it sounds funny not because I'm panicking#people really like to correct you wherever and whenever they feel like it don't they#*this* is reading my sense of humor as gullibility#i know it's not that deep#but this really grinds my gears#I hate being told something I already knew but the person doesn't realize I do because I've been misunderstood#it isn't one of those “well actually” guys it was someone not in that demographic and I don't think they have I'll will#it wasn't ill intentioned but it rubs me the wrong way when people think I don't know things and they go out of their way to correct me
