Thought Bites

Half way home, nowhere

near enough to reach His arms

you halt your journey

a nice place to turn around

and be a pillar of salt.

talking to some computer

worshiping knowledge,

fruit of electronic trees,

ignoring wisdom from God.

.

Faces toward Christ

escaping the dark false glow

of bright neon light

advertising all but truth

along every plunging path.

.

and only a few answer

common sense falters

as foolishness reigns supreme

until mankind strays too far.

.

mankind's most serious task

needing more prayer

and mirrors to see ourselves

in the words of holy God.

.

Remember Stephen

laying among the thrown stones

a victim of truth

spoken before evil men

and speak that boldly again.

.

over the edge labeled sin

mars God's gift of grace

when guilty men weigh the scales

best read by the eyes of God.

.

declaring the way to life

now being ignored

repent the echoing word

from the servants of the Lord.

.

in league with the Great I Am,

some say a watchman

ready to proclaim the doom

mankind faces as it comes.

.

The days are evil

and much time is awasting,

walk circumspectly,

consider what you're risking

before that first foolish step.
