LET'S TALK ABOUT OTPS
message me, anon or not. I'm having crazy feelings over this ship and I need someone to freak out over OTPs with. You tell me about your ship, I'll tell you about mine.
Cas being all nervous and flustered when he tries to kiss Jo for the first time (◠‿◠✿)
Cas trying really really hard to be a good kisser (◕‿◕✿)
Jo teaching Cas how to kiss and it ends up with them making out (☉‿☉✿)
Prompt: cats. ship: any.
Chestervelle;
Jo frowned and slammed her hand on the table in protest to Dean’s rejection towards getting a cat. They had settled down for a while together, and what way to start a family than to get an animal and see how they handle that?
Clearly Dean had different ideas, and didn’t want to look after a little fuzzball of joy. That disappointed Jo heavily, and she tried to use her cuteness to sway him into getting a cat. She walked over to him and took his hands and nuzzled into his chest, twirling slightly and tilting her head to look up into his eyes, pouting heavily and batting her eyelashes."Pleeease Dean? Can we get a cat? I’ll do all the disgusting jobs! I’ll clean the litter tray and the poop from the garden. I’ll even give it it’s food, you don’t have to do anythin’ you don’t wanna. Dean, baby, honey, sweetie, please! Can we just try it? Can we just try having a cat?" She begged him, clasping her hands together as she begged him for a cat, relentlessly, not even stopping to take a breather and give him a chance to think about it. She wanted him to buckle under the pressure and say yes to getting a cat. It was blackmail, but… Who wouldn’t love a cat?
Dean growled, somewhat frustrated and irritated that she fell for yet another scheme of hers so she could get her way. But how could he resist that cute face of hers? She was so beautiful, he just couldn’t say no and let her down. He chuckled and kissed the top of her head and grabbed the keys to the impala."Let’s go get a cat." He sighed, grumbling as he made his way to the Impala.
SamxJo:
It had been a few months since they got the cat and things had been a little hectic. It was only a little kitten but it was the wildest, most feral thing they had ever seen. It was unlike anything they had ever seen before. They’d hunted demons, monsters, ghosts and ghouls, and they couldn’t tame a fucking kitten? This was beyond a joke for either of them.
Sam had chased after the little critter with a spray bottle to teach it discipline and that hadn’t worked. Instead it would just continue to scamper around the house, leaving destruction in it’s wake as it sprinted around the house. Their attempts were useless.Jo had tried keeping it isolated and keeping it in one room. However, upon the times they opened the door to check on it… It wasn’t a pretty sight in the slightest. Curtains had claw marks, there was cat litter on the floor, the cat had pooped under the bed, the pillows had been ripped apart, the trash can was destroyed… How was such a little cute, bundle of fluff capable of such horror?Jo and Sam collapsed on the couch together and curled up. "I don’t know what we’re supposed to do. The cat just isn’t calming down." She frowned, really hoping this would work."I know, we’ve tried everything. I don’t want to have to take it back to the animal shelter, but we might have to…" Sam told her remorsefully. It caused a twang of pain in her chest, but then she thought of something as she went through a mental checklist."Catnip!" She shot up from the couch and went out to get some for the cat.Sam was left sat on the sofa, wondering if the cat had drove her insane.
Jostiel;
The day had come where they had to pick the kitten or cat that was going to be ideal for them, and act as their own little child where they would officially become parents for the first time to a cat. Jo was excited but it seemed that Castiel was even more excited than she was; in fact, he was thrilled! He had been counting down the days until they picked up the little critter.
They scanned each little hut for a cat that seemed perfect for them, falling in love with each and every one that they saw. They both knew they couldn’t get all of them, as neither had the money for it. They would have to settle for one. They thought that they would be forced to choose one when all of a sudden, they saw a sweet little ginger tom cat. It was only young, but it had come right to the front, looking up at the couple with hopeful eyes. Jo gasped and kneeled down. She reached her hand in and began to pet it’s head, for it to nuzzle back.
"Cas, I think this one is for us. It’s so damn cute.""I definitely agree." He replied, too lost in awe at the little kitten.
Then something unexpected happened…
Another little kitten, just like that one, popped out from behind one of the little hutches they had in there. It came out and sat down beside it, mewing playfully.
And on that day, they didn’t leave with just one; they left with two.
I've never been a Jo x Cas shipper, but this [fic] maybe changed my mind. My feels damnit.

Heaven's Waiting a Jostiel fic by obscenelyobscure written for jaredisahappymoose
Castiel had only known Jo Harvell for a few days, but he could tell she was important. It wasn't hard for him to see that, she kind of glowed and Dean seemed to be drawn to her. Castiel thought that maybe he was attracted to her, but he overlooked it and instead focused on what made Jo special to Dean, to the Winchesters, to Ellen and Bobby. Jo was funny. Cas had pinned that down pretty well. She was sweet and her heart was so big that Castiel thought that maybe it was bigger than Dean's. Dean said he didn't have a big heart, that he didn't care, but Cas knew better. Jo didn't seem to even be aware of the fact that she was so giving.Â
Cas didn't get to see her die. Not that he wanted to, he didn't want her to die at all, but he could feel it. Dean's anguish called out to him and Castiel felt the sorrow of his two friends and the loss of the third. When he got free he knew for a certainty. Jo and Ellen Harvell had been lost. And he wept.
The first time Castiel visited Jo in Heaven, it had been quiet, Ash was playing pinball in the corner of the Roadhouse and Ellen was washing dishes. Jo was trying to watch the television and find a way to keep an eye on her boys. And then he'd appeared. Castiel always had a little trouble breaking into different heavens, especially after he rebelled, it made it harder to get somewhere he needed to be without being detected. Castiel stumbled and ran into the bar, gripping it for support and Jo turned with wide eyes, expecting Dean or Sam to come and tell her that they've found a way to bring her back.Â
That wasn't the case. Castiel took a moment to regain his footing and then he surveyed the scene. They seemed happy. That was good. That meant Heaven was doing it's job. And then he turned his piercing gaze onto Jo, with whom he seemed utterly transfixed. He cocked his head to the side, and eyed her in silence for a moment before he disappeared. And Jo could relax.Â
Castiel's visits after that were longer, they included dialogue, and over the course of the months, Cas would bring them news of the boys, the state of the Earth and Heaven itself. And then he would talk with Jo for what appeared to be hours. At first their conversations were awkward and Cas was just trying to make it sound natural. Now the concern in his voice, the plea for advice, the advice he gave to her, everything was normal, as if he had grown into his skin.Â
Jo noticed. No one else did, they were always just happy to have news but Jo could see. As the months and years dragged on, and the war on Earth grew to tremendous heights, Cas was being ripped apart. His visits became fewer and far between and Jo could tell. He was slipping. He glowed a little less bright, he hardly made noise when he landed in their Heaven, he didn't say too much anymore. Cas always seemed out of breath and barely there.Â
It hurt. Ellen didn't really get it, but Ash could see that something was bothering Jo. He didn't say anything, he figured it was her business, but he could see how close they'd grown. Over the years, they'd grown close. Cas could visit sometimes with no news and talk strictly with Jo. They kissed once. It was only once and it was the last time Jo saw Castiel for six months. It kind of just happened. Castiel was expressing his fears for the Winchester brothers, and Jo just reached over and kissed him on the lips.Â
Castiel disappeared and she didn't hear from him until he showed up again. He looked the absolute worst. Even Ellen said something. Castiel shook his head and assured her that he was fine, but Jo could tell he wasn't. They didn't kiss anymore, but those feelings were there. Jo could tell that she might maybe love that angel. Castiel held her hand that night. That was the last Jo saw him. He didn't tell her he was in pain, but she could see. Castiel let her express her discomfort, her desire to watch the boys, her need to be there, and her need for him to be there with her. He didn't say anything, but he kissed her forehead before he left and tuned their television. He told her she could watch them now. There wasn't much she could to to interfere, but they could watch.
And then he was gone.
And Jo knew he wasn't coming back.
She didn't leave her room for weeks. She couldn't bear to watch him on the television, in pain and mourning. A fallen angel is a sad sight to behold. When she finally did leave her room, she barely moved from the couch, always watching.Â
That was probably the most painful thing.
Until the day she realized that Cas wasn't actually coming back.Â
The year was 2014. Sam had said yes to Lucifer, Dean was a mess and Castiel... Jo could hardly watch him. He was a mess. At night, she'd watch him and sometimes it seemed he'd be talking to her, telling her things like they used to. Sometimes he appeared to be in so much pain that Jo would leave the room to return to her own bedroom and dream of better days.Â
The final day arrived. Jo saw Dean from the past collide with everything at the present. She watched the horror and dismay in his face, she saw Castiel happy for the first time in what appeared to be eternities. And then she watched her Dean take it all away. She knew he was going to die.
And he let Cas go down with them. Dean didn't make it to Heaven either. Jo watched Castiel get ripped to shreds by sneering demons that whispered that he wasn't an angel anymore. They mocked him and pulled him apart and Jo waited.
She waited for him to appear in the Roadhouse with them so that they could be together again and Jo could tell him how she felt about him.Â
But he didn't come.Â
Jo sank to the floor, strength completely gone, hope with it and she wept. Ellen knelt there next to her, holding her close, telling her she was so sorry. Bobby had joined them months back and he came out too to sit beside the girl. He stroked her hair, whispered sweet things to her and let her snot stain his shirt as she cried.
She was alone.Â
Completely alone. She had Ash, Ellen, and Bobby, but she didn't have anyone. Ash was the only one that didn't try to comfort her. He shut himself up in his room to try and work out what happened.Â
Castiel was never coming again.Â
Jo was never going to see him again.
They were never going to talk and laugh and poke fun at each other again.
Ash said it was because all the angels in Heaven left, all that Castiel had left was his personality after his grace left. He said that Cas didn't have a soul, but Jo had a different theory.Â
They turned the television off after that. Jo made a point to ignore it. She didn't think she'd ever quite heal after that, and she was right. There was no real way for her to progress. She was dead, after all. She was stuck.Â
Some nights, Jo would come down and watch the television. Only for five minutes, just to make absolutely sure that Cas was dead. Lucifer had Sam's face, and he'd hung Castiel's clothing on the wall above his bed. The last angel. Dead. And then she would retreat into her room again.
If she'd stayed, if she'd watched for just a few more moments, she'd have seen him. His face. The TV flicked on and static covered the screen. Cas' lips appeared, his eyes, eventually his face and he was calling out to her, trying to get her attention, but his voice was faint, the house was quiet and empty and soon he was cut out again. The screen went blank and nothing.
Nothing.
