I don’t want to take away from the racist bullshit he’s up to at present (which is even more abhorrent given the context) but receipts are important. Those of us that have been around long enough know he is literally scraping the barrel of human trash. He was still going by Jonny Rees at this point. I don’t want to drive traffic there but if you’d like to read for yourself, the podcasts are still up on his crappy pseudo-psych website. The entire first episode is a complete shit-show but basically: His ex-wife left him and got custody of their sons after the incident below. He was a drug addict who stopped his meds and therapy and went down the woman hating path. Started preaching about how he could heal mental illness through his own ‘methods’ and tried selling it to very vulnerable people. Disappeared off to India (iirc) and took lots of white saviour photos. He constantly insults and slanders his ex-wife online and plays the pity card. Read Episodes #1 and #2 if you want the full lot.

I don’t feel that you’re trying to challenge my opinion so don’t fret about that.

There are various reasons I find Ellis to be a creep.

- He constantly riles up and calls on the “Cullenites” on twitter, like they’re his own personal army. Tagging them when what he’s talking about has absolutely nothing to do with them or Dragon Age (see his recent foray into teasing that he might have been reprising his role as Cullen in DA4, and it turned out he was voicing a character in the new WoW expansion and it was an “innocent mistake”)

- In that same vein, he uses them to try and gain more followers (see the above teasing about voicing a character and saying he would say who he was voicing if he reached 10,000 followers on twitter).

- Beyond the weird using Cullen fans shite, there’s also the fact he’s a men's rights activist. Has basically come out saying he supports Drumph (words along the line of: “I support the person who holds the position of President” which, holy shit, does not sit right with me).

- His transition into a “life style guru” with no formal training, what-so-ever is incredibly fucking dangerous. From what I can see, he went on a few trips to impoverished parts of the world, did some volunteering in soup kitchens, and felt that was all the expertise he needed to be able to tell people how to better live their lives. 

- His stance on medication is where I really take issue though. He doesn’t believe in antidepressants or drugs like that and believes people with depression/mental illness only need to “think positively” to get better. Which is an incredibly dangerous stance to have when you hold a position of popularity, however small because it could influence someone who desperately does need that medication, and be the reason they don’t get it, or they stop taking it. 

I don’t have the time or the spoons to get receipts, you can trudge through his shitshow of a twitter account to find the proof, it’s all there.
