THE STORY;

You haven’t always had this dark, cloying thing in your chest. You were a nice boy, once upon a time. That’s what everybody always said. Jonathan is nice. Jonathan is dedicated. Jonathan is a good friend, a good student, a good person. You thought it was true, too. It wasn’t until you got older that you realised how easy it was to shift from good to morally grey. The thing was: you wanted things so badly sometimes that you just couldn’t help yourself, and you liked being in control too much once you got a taste of it. You were still nice, still fundamentally a good person, ninety-nine percent of the time. But you were manipulative, too. You made people need you, made yourself irreplaceable in their lives so that you could feel important. The fact of the matter is this: you helped hide Marcus Abernathy, because once you bury a body with someone, they can never get rid of you. Once you know what the darkest places of their minds look like, they have to accept your dark places too.
