Ooooh, that does sound familiar. Agh! I wish the search for this site wasn't so broken!! This sorts of conversations are much easier with a working search.

But yeah, there's something to be said for the different ways Arthur ant Jonathan follow through on their vows to their brides. And probably some parallel to be drawn between Dracula's brides too.

I also think, though, that there's something to be said for Arthur having seen both Lucy as a predator and Lucy at peace after her execution. I'd need to double check but I think Jonathan doesn't see any vampires die until the final sunset.

He's a very evidence driven man, our friend Jonathan Harker. Why should he take a bunch of total strangers who keep talking about killing his wife for her own good safely?

Especially when he knows damned well that Dracula retained a shocking amount of human intelligence, if not human social drives.

Jonathan has all the opposite evidence to Arthur, regarding the best way to deal with their wives' Situation.

And both of them are 100% prepared to do the most unholy shit for the sake of their beloveds.

SUCH fertile grounds for DRAMA!!!!!!!

Which makes Arthur's caretaking of Jonathan even sweeter. He really is the only bitch on the team with one singular ounce of emotional intelligence.
