The report stated that for the first time, investments in renewable energy in developing countries surpassed that in developed regions with the amount of $72.2 billion versus $70.5 billion. These investments include asset finance and capital raising by companies from venture capital, private equity, and public market investors. For 2012, investments on renewable energy continue but in a lower rate. According to Bloomberg New Energy Finance, this was affected by the low outcome in the last quarter of 2011, which generated only $27 billion. Jon McKee Queen Image Credit: Energyboom.com "Jon M.
