We are very excited to share that Johnnyland will be working with Next Wave for the opening night's showcase Battle of the Scores!
Johnnyland is an incredible organization that supports Toronto's thriving music and arts scene. Run by an ambitious group of young students, entrepreneurs, and artists/musicians, Johnnyland takes a unique approach to all ages events. Since its inception at the Annex Live in 2013, Johnnyland has grown to be a place where youth can escape to enjoy great music and connect with other passionate artists.
TIFF Next Wave is happy to welcome Dan Drory-Lehrer, CEO of Johnnyland, to our judging jury for Battle of the Scores on Feb.13! He'll be helping us decide a finalist for this anticipated cinematic showcase of Toronto's musical talent! There will also be an Audience Choice Award and the winner, chosen by YOU, will have the amazing opportunity to play alongside other up and coming Toronto musicians at the Johnnyland Presents: Zeus show at the Opera House on Feb.27!! https://www.facebook.com/events/1505934093006991/?fref=ts

the show i went to last night was very small compared to the other ones and me and my friends stayed til the very end when everyone was just dancing to the smiths and the clash! it was so swEATY aND i was GROSss and happy !
