Edmund tried to sway from the violent, reckless kind Simcoe seemed to pursue. It was quite obvious to Edmund, in both hindsight and at that moment, that the man struck with palsy had no place in the poisoning of his horse. It was instead all thanks to the devil in green in front of him.
