Happy Belated 74th Birthday ♎️ to John Foxx, born Dennis Leigh on September 26, 1948 in Chorley, Lancashire, England. In my book he is one of the innovators of post punk electronic synthesizer music from his early days of experimenting while in the Royal College of Art in London on a scholarship till when he formed the glam rock band Tiger Lily as the singer in 1973 which later after a few name changes, settled on Ultravox! (earlier styled version of the name) in 1976. Although Ultravox had various styles fused into their formula, it was considered New Wave. He adopted the stage name John Foxx during this period with Ultravox. In 1979 he began recording his debut solo album Metamatic on Virgin Records and experimented even more with synthesizers.
