So since I got Super Mario RPG for Christmas (Along with Mario Bros Wonder) and I recently kicked Yaridovich/Speardovich's ass,
I wanna see these two in the same room. Idk why, maybe it's cause they're both associated with sharks (Hell, Johnny is most likely wearing the hide of one) and captains.

"The shark posting continues!"
Game theorum: Jonathan is very clearly suppose to be a "man in a suit". His Original walking sprites/sitting in SNES Super Mario RPG has more visible "humanoid feet" compared to his lackeys. (his og overworld sprite was about as tall as luigi would be to Mario.)
Considering he conquered the "Man eating shark" and could very well be wearing it as his prize, I'd like to believe my man just kinda took his position as a captain of "shark people" just because he could.
(Plus his ice magic hits hard too boot. Something that his own men do not have is "Magic".)
Though ended up kinda developing their 'mannerisms' trying to be a "Man in a Shark Skin" himself. Course we never learn if they're aware he's not a shark/or simple don't care since the whole. "The strongest one command them all" thing you see most pirate related things usually do.
Anyway, I could totally see him ingesting raw fish and such and not be effected because he's grown immune to it living among the bandana sharks. Like living among wolves, but with sharks! :D
