it's a warm summer day in new jersey, the sun is beaming, people walking by the streets, the ice cream truck song fading in the distance and you and joe are walking marley to the juice bar to get a smoothie.

as you both entered the bar, the smell of fruits and the cool air of the A/C was both refreshing and nice, along the walls was a nice light green color with menus of specials and happy hour

as you looked at the menu, looking through each and every single one of the delicious smoothies printed on the screen, you decided to get the strawberry pineapple one

and joe who was standing next to you couldn't quite decide what to get, he had his index finger and thumb on his chin, moving in a down motion

joe- y/n, he huffs. "I don't know what to get? It's too hard to pick?"

y/n- mhmm what about the same thing as me?

joe- why would I if I can just take some of yours?

y/n- joe, I love you but you would not be getting none

joe huffed out laugh

joe- I think Im going to get the spinach one

y/n- really?

joe- what?

y/n- you're going to get the spinach one when there's better options?

joe- yeah? What's wrong with spinach?

y/n- I mean there's nothing wrong it's just there's better and tastier options

joe- yes, but I want the spinach one

y/n- you might as well get a grass one

joe- ha ha, funny. he jokes

as you laugh, you both order your drinks. a strawberry pineapple smoothie, a spinach smoothie and a acai bowl for you and marley of course

as you sat down, you and joe talked about the upcoming stream you're in, and started saying how chat misses you, cause the last time you were on stream with joe was december with the whole gingerbread mess

as you got your drinks and acai bowl, you drank some of yours and of course enjoyed it on the other hand with joe he somewhat enjoys it

joe- this is actually not bad

y/n- you're lying. you question

joe- try for yourself. joe says sliding his drink to you

as you exchanged drinks, he was tasting your delicious strawberry smoothie and you, well you were about to taste a spinach smoothie

as you took a sip from the straw, you realized it wasn't actually as bad as you thought, sure a spinach smoothie sounded gross, and it does. but it's actually not too bad

y/n- actually. you start. "it is not that bad"

joe- see

y/n- but I much rather have my drink back

as you and joe laughed, you did get mad at joe cause he drank half of your smoothie, and as you opened your acai bowl, you fed some to marley who absolutely loves acai bowls

and as you shared the acai bowl with joe, laughing at something he said, you gave some of your smoothie to marley, who also again absolutely loves anything with fruits and more to joe who loves your smoothie

and as joe took your smoothie with pleasure and his own smoothie, he tried them together, putting both straws into his mouth looking like a walrus

you laughed and as joe gave your drink back smiling joe was feeding marley his spinach smoothie and whatever was left was inside the acai bowl, and you just sat back and watched joe feeding marley like a little kid

and as marley was licking the acai bowl, you and joe got back to your conversation, laughing and exchanging eye rolls, and you realized this is better than any candle lit dinner or romantic date
