5. favorite song in your native language?

I generally don’t listen to a lot of Hungarian songs but there are a couple I enjoy. Idk my favorite but I really love Búcsúdal (~goodbye song), Apám sírjánál (~at my father’s grave) or A zene az kell (~you need music), these three came to mind. Most of the time I prefer the older songs tbh, although the first two actually aren’t.

favorite color: all shades of blue and millennial pink (I’m every cliche...)

What is the one beverage you absolutely cannot make it through the day without (besides water, that is)? Tea. Whether hot or iced, it’s what gets me (and my throat) through a day of lecturing. 

Describe an ideal day in your favorite season of the year (Hmm, to make it a question: Would you please…?) Wake up in the morning, put on a bathing suit, sprawl by the swimming pool all day, either reading something fun or watching the kids play in the pool (AND GET ALONG WITH EACH OTHER), with maybe a barbecue for lunch and then ice cream for dinner, and then sitting around in sweatshirts after the sun sets, through the long twilight, talking to each other. 

What is a book that you could–and do–read over and over and over again? Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. 

As an adult, did you wind up doing what you thought you’d be doing when you were a kid? I was going to say “not even close,” but I always imagined being a writer and I *am* a writer! The rest of it, though, was definitely unanticipated!

What is your favorite item of clothing? My Burberry trench coat. 

What is the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home? Hawaii. 

What is your favorite smell? Lilacs. 

Do you prefer sweet or savory? Sweet. 

If you could magically teleport anywhere, where would you go? The South of France. 

What is the oddest thing you’ve ever encountered while traveling (vacation, going to work, getting the mail–doesn’t matter). I’m sure I have a million stories about this. When you spend a lot of time traveling to and from the Southern U.S., you pass a lot of things that you’re like, ...Huh. But of course I am now coming up completely empty. 

What is your favorite museum that you’ve visited? The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

Hmm, not really a secret, but this story sprang from one of those persistent ideas that just won't go away. I'd been saying for a while that someone (not me) should write a modern AU based on the concept; I thought it needed someone better at writing humour to tackle it, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. Eventually I gave in and that ficlet just poured out--I wrote and edited the entire thing in a day, which is incredibly fast for me.

And then @sambargestuff and a couple other people liked it enough to write sequels, which was the first time something I wrote inspired a direct sequel and I'm still thrilled about it! I kept writing more of it, too, until it spawned an entire series.

Oh, semi-secret headcanon: Cassian & Jyn end up moving in together very shortly after the last piece in that series. Jyn's lease is up and she's torn--she wants a place closer to work, but she doesn't want to move away from Cassian, but she's convinced it's too soon to ask him to move in with her. So she's distracted & grumpy until Cassian comes home one day and drags her out to an open house in a new building with larger suites available.

(Also, Cassian tries very hard but he never really gets over his nervousness around the class snake.)
