Silly Game Time: The giant simulation game that comprises your reality was offering a free trial of their "Vocal Upgrade Package". So I went ahead and aceepted for all of you. You're welcome! (Oh, by the way, your reality is a simulation game, if you didn't already know.)
Anyway, for the next 30 days, everyone on the planet will have musical accompaniment from one instrument of their choice. That instrument will quietly play in a manner that is expressive of their real mood whenever they speak. So which instrument are you choosing?
(Keep in mind, it can be any musical instrument from anywhere and anywhen in history, it will be quiet but always audible, and a random instrument will be assigned by the simulation game if you don't choose one for yourself.) (Oh, and once again, you're welcome!)
I'm gonna go with a trumpet, I know, not the most creative option I could have gone with but I feel like it could capture me pretty well. The highs of electro swing, with the lower, more modest jazz
Y'know what? I'm gonna tag some moots cause I'm intrastead in what they'll choose
So on top of @jkl-fff , there are also @sillypotatochipz , @m0rt4lc0rv1d , @giorgossou
And of course, OPEN TAGS! this is a Tumblr minigame after all and who am I to stop you from adding to the fun

Bowser takes a looooooot to get drunk. Even more than you'd think from his size. People don't think he can get drunk at all, because they expect him to get fighty or weepy, but he actually just tends to wander off and fall asleep somewhere. The wandering can be a problem but he gets truly drunk so rarely that it's barely happened more than twice.
Luigi is very gregarious when he's drinking, it tends to smooth out the anxiety so he can relax more. But he has to be careful because he also forgets his strength, and has a tendency to say the things he usually keeps bottled up, and he always feels awful about it in the morning even if it wasn't that bad.
[ 🧩 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat’s a truth about themselves they refuse to admit ?
Bowser refuses to admit most of his flaws. A lot of them he doesn't even see, but the big one that he knows deep down is how lonely he is. People don't like him, not really, not on a one-on-one basis. Even if his troops look up to him they're not anything like friends. But until he starts figuring out all those other flaws, that's not going to change.
Luigi is aware of and willing to admit most of his flaws, and would probably even work on them if encouraged to, but the truth he can't admit is that he's more heroic than he thinks. He feels like because he's scared all the time, and sometimes jealous of his brother, that invalidates all his genuine kindness and courage. Deep deep down, he also likes the adventure. He thinks he wants a quiet life, but if he went too long without anything weird happening he wouldn't know what to do with himself.
[ 🔒 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat is a secret they’ve sworn never to tell ?
Bowser's been alone, and lonely, for so long that he's probably done a lot of embarrassing stuff he never wants to to tell anyone (even more than the embarrassing stuff he's done in public). People get weird when they're trapped in their own heads most of the time. Think Dark Helmet playing with his dolls type stuff.
I think Luigi had a depressed goth phase in his teens that he's ashamed of now. He shouldn't be, it's normal, but he feels like he didn't "earn" the depths of his depression because his family loved and supported him. He's never told anybody, not even Mario, what he really thought during that time.
Silly Game Time: Axomamma, the Inca goddess of potatoes (and nothing else) (but that's already immense power and responsibility) is taking a vacation* for a month.
In the meantime, who do you think can be trusted with the immense, cosmic responsibility of supreme power over all potatoes? Who do you nominate to fill in for her?
*Not that it matters, but she's going to Mongolia for her vacation.
Hera. She comes to mind immediately. Or Athena. She’s another good candidate!

Silly Game Time: TWIST THAT TROPE! "The Empire is invading, but the twist is ___."
(Every story is made of tropes, just like how every sentence is made of words. Still, some tropes can feel a bit overused if a storyteller doesn't do something different with them. What do you think could be an interesting variation to this trope? It doesn't need to be elaborate or surprising or original, just something that might appeal to you personally.)
tldr: The galaxy has lost the ability to make certain equipment and the nations have been shrunk and fragmented between lawless voids polluted with rogue autonomous weapons and UXO due to a war The Empire started, and 200 years later they want to secure the royal family from their lost stasis vault and relitigate the war
im keeping the stuff under the cut because i already wrote it. a bit long for this i think.
Nearly two centuries after a great war, The Empire, alongside all the other nations, had technologically regressed.
The facilities required to fabricate cutting-edge tech were destroyed in the war, and the information required to make them again all but lost, with data-archives and the facilities which would contain them in ruin. Although technology has developed since this loss, it is still far from catching up.
Vast swaths of the galaxy have become ungovernable, at least on a galactic scale. Due to the devastation which rained upon most notable cities, the smaller nations had dissolved, and the bigger ones driven to the margins of their territory.
Trade has become significantly riskier, with autonomous weapons still lurking in the contested space between once-neighbouring countries, and the planets and infrastructure which could once be relied upon now barely functional, and controlled by smaller, often belligerent groups, from new local governments to pirate gangs.
Most nations chose to adapt to this new status quo within only a few years, moving their capitals, reinstating civilian government, and returning to a sense of normalcy, even with new struggles on their mind.
In contrast, The Empire never left military rule. With the top brass wiped out, the royal family and most higher nobles in lost stasis vaults, The Empire has been ruled by a rotating cast of officers, mostly belonging to the lesser nobility.
While most nations were working to restore normalcy within their shrunken borders, The Empire attempted to reach out, and take over their old territory. This was both costly and fruitless, and while a few planets were re-secured, no nobles or royals had been rescued, and countless soldiers and increasingly rare pre-war ships had been lost.
Eventually, military leaders wound down the expansions. Some even tried to civilianize, but they were always shot down very quickly. This meant their nation was stuck in limbo, not able to keep fighting but not able to officially stop, lest they lose power. Their military industry became a high priority, and while other nations were comfortably comfortable, their nation was also beginning to find stability in austerity, with generations living poor lives to build a ballooning military.
Skipping some nonsense, a coup happened just a few years before the plot. Nothing special about it at the time, just another noble officer barging his way through the revolving door of national leadership. The new leader promised several things. He promised a massive military buildup—even by the standards of The Empire—to secure their prewar borders, to either return or avenge the royal and noble families, and to finish the war they started.
Silly Game Time: Who are some equine (horsey) characters you really like, and why? They could be literal and entirely animal (horses, donkeys, etc. who act like animals do). Or characters who are animals with some human behaviors (such as the ability to think, speak, and act like humans, etc.). Or characters/creatures who are defined by being part equine (like centaurs, unicorns, qilins, etc.) or temporarily equine (shapeshifters, people who are cursed into an animal form, etc.). Or they could even be entirely human, but just have those vibes in your opinion.
They can be from any genre of any media (movies, shows, books, comics, games, etc.) (OCs count, too, if you like). All that matters is that they are equine-coded, and you like them!
this girl ^ is part horse. and she likes setting things on fire 🙂↕️🙂↕️
Silly Game Time: The classic gryphon/griffin has the head and front talons of a golden eagle and the body and back paws of a lion. Sometimes it also has an eagle's wings. But today ... we're going to change things up by combining a different bird with a different cat for some grifFUN! [pause for laughter/booing]
Which kinds do you choose? Attach a photo of each so people can get a sense of how your gryphon/griffin looks!
(If you don't know varieties of birds or cats well enough to choose, try using a Random Letter Generator, and then search for "birds/cats that start with [your letter]" until you find one you like. Or one that'd look messed up. Whichever.)
