    AN  EXPRESSION  OF  SLIGHT  bemusement  across  her  aquatic  features ,  eyes  drifting  over  toward  the  taller  boy .  while  mipha  is  familiar  with  the  hylian’s  usual  stoney  expression  she  finds  there’s  something  rather  different  this  afternoon .  link’s  face  is  slightly  flushed  &  his  expression  while  still  blank  in  most  regards  bears  a  faint  aura  of  discomfort .  hence  her  need  to  stop  her  pace  across  the  river  bridge .

      ❛    LINK ?  —    ❜  clear  concern  is  heard  within  the  single  word ,  brows  furrowing  as  she  looks  over  his  features .  ❛    is  something  the  matter ?  you  seem  sort  of  …    ❜  she  stops  herself  mid  sentence  as  her  eyes  finds  his  hands  at  his  side .  they’re  slightly  fidgety ,  &  mipha  notes  his  fingers  curling  in  &  out  of  a  fist .  come  to  think  of  it  during  their  stroll  together  she  had  noticed  link’s  hands  brushing  against  her  own  hand  at  her  side .  had  he  been  trying  to  tell  her  something ?  

      HER  BROWS  RAISE  UPON  the  realization ,  a  small  blush  of  her  own  rushing  to  her  cheeks .  oh .  so  that’s  what  was  going  on .  at  times  like  these  the  princess  really  wished  link  spoke  more  frequently .  mipha’s  not  necessarily  oblivious  but  it  is  rather  difficult  to  pick  up  cues  like  these  without  being  told  directly .  oh  well .  at  least  now  she  knows .

Sapphire gaze would look up at the quiet words, glancing at the young hero. He does not know where they came from, but he understands completely. The what - if’s often burdened him too, plaguing his dreams and burying him. At one point he let them control his life, let them keep him up at night, the sheer idea of other possibilities and outcomes bringing him to tears more times than he cared to admit.

What could he possibly say ? A small huff of air would leave his lips, adding some more twigs to their fire before moving to sit next to the other blond. He would gently pat his shoulder, dropping it after a moment to look up at the stars.

Link watches as the other practices his swordplay, striking at a wooden dummy. Even from his spot that was a little ways away, he could tell that the blade was not going exactly how the other wanted it too, the swings slightly missing and falling short. Maybe he was rusty. Getting up, the older of the two stopped when he was closer to the other blond.

it’s a crushing weight ,  the fall of hope.   that small ideal , possibility , that if the princess had returned then perhaps ,  just maybe ,  the champions might have as well.  he knows however small that hope to be it was a stretch  yet there it was even with the divine beast’s silence.     he had been fortunate enough in finding link and the saving of his home and people ;  to wish for the goddess to bless him - them -  once more ———    a  breath , deep  in  and  out  ,  gills visibly moving with the action.   (  while wounds are not fresh , they still ache. )   though he feels this way , he stays standing strong.   “  i see –  ”

sidon eyes the still divine beast.  time will pass day by day ;  he has such to make peace and with proper remembrance of his sister and her words , knowing that she is finally free and resting at peace  he  will  continue  on.   golden hues find the champion , a soft look.   he bows his head slightly , bringing a hand to his chest.    “   link !   my most cherished friend , from the bottom of my heart —–   thank you.   ”            later he will seek out her statue and ask for the guidance and strength he needs.   he moves his hand from his chest to rest at the hylian’s shoulder for just a moment.    “  i cannot express my gratitude enough for all you’ve done !  not just for the zora but for all of hyrule !  now when hopes are high , we must continue forward with strength in our hearts.  ”
