UNWAVERING. ( ap )

and what such relief ,   posture unending , face and presentation for the eyes of his people.  while years may have come to show inner most person , nothing but honesty , sincerity in actions and truth to core —  yet here sings he !   one of unyielding hope , exhaustion in very soul.   wounds of past set to rest dug up , bared before once more.   they ache and so solitude is sought to set self right so eyes may not lose their flame. regarding himself to be what is    needed   and so there is no room to dwell — only that of praying for guidance. 

body moves with breath , seating on the pier that looks out to reservoir , gaze set on the unmoving divine beast.  it’s lights no longer reflect in the water’s surface ,  standing silent and still.  it’s not the figure he wishes to see but knows it’s one he must look upon. never a time for cowardice , nor the time to let fear control him. only to confront a trouble that had been for his people and for him.  still ,  in even the company of one , he brings a smile to his face. this one thankful.  he ultimately isn’t sure of what to say that he hasn’t already.   congratulations , praise and many many thanks.  (   which will never be enough, in his opinion.  )   

a clawed finger taps  once   twice    thrice !    debating the words that he wants ,  needs  ,  to  share.  ‘  you  don’t  have  to  talk.  ’     a  sweet voice he believes.  and as such a product of upbringing , there are manners.   “  once more please allow me to express my gratitude  ,  princess.  ”     a dip of his head , caudal fin brushing against his shoulder.  such a small thing but one he is no less grateful for.  and suddenly weight that seemed to hold vanishes ,  unspoken are his thoughts  – no doubt to be shared with a familiar statue later  -  yet there is the inkling that she must understand.   so in silence he sits , foot in the water and golden gaze turned back ahead.  

a genuine curiosity that shines in eyes.   not so much a challenge but a wish to gather knowledge.   once again to open trades and truly opening the domain since calamity’s fall ;  his duties had kept him rather busy for a time but now while the opportunity had presented itself thought had struck !   and so here he was  (  with a couple other zora ),  finding his way from domain , down rivers and across open field for a short journey.   

such they find themselves in current company , in a place so unlike his own and in a way refreshing.  there was a wish to stay longer but he didn’t want to be gone from the domain for too long.    “   oh  -- ”      while diet mainly consisted of fish ,  a given living in the domain ,  he was curious to try many other things --  and how interesting this looked !   carefully does he take what’s offered with a smile.     “   thank you very much !    i can already tell it will be wonderful.  i hope you do not mind that i save it for the journey back ?   when i return i will be sure to tell you how i enjoyed it.  ”   

sidon’s sense of smell is very strong.  which helps not only when fishing but to identify potential threats ( bokoblin , lizalfos , etc.  each have a distinct smell )  and injuries other zora ( or friends of other species ! ) have gotten.   catch him subtly sniffing when something new comes around. 

he can see clearly in the dark ( which helps when fishing in deeper waters ) and can see rather far.  his eyes are reflective !  how cool !   however he is sensitive to brighter lights.  (  like shining a light in his eyes would be irritating and sting / cause him to squint ) being out in the sun is fine. 

to the touch sidon would be considered ‘silky’. like if you ran a hand down his arm-- that’s nice and smooth.  but if you did it the opposite way , from hand to shoulder , it’s rough.  his palms however are always rough , minus the webbing between fingers.  keeps things in his grasp ya know.
