dear Rominatrix thanks for your lovely posts about Martin. i love Martin and Benedict! i've been freebatched and Johnlocked for ages and i've got a question for you! what do you feel about B or i should say about their friendship? sometimes i feel some of Martin's fans are kind of feeling hostile toward B coz of some mistakes or misunderstanding! sorry i'm not a native speaker so errors may happen! thank you!
Dear Jilldar, hi! :) Ok, you probably know that i’m also very much into johnlock and very much into freebatch, also i consider myself being part of both martin’s (hey i’m one of the folks behind the fansite) and ben’s fandom. I do consider that there’s hostility from some fans that are exclusively fans of one or the other. I don’t know why to be honest, i think it’s just people being over protective. I don’t endorse at all any of those. Of course I’m going to defend Ben and Martin if they are - according to my sensibilities - being wrongfully accused of something. I mean, they are both human beings and both have said stuff that can be considered a bit not good but if someone thinks that just because a person is famous they are or have to be flawless then they are a tad wrong. I am of course more active in Martin’s fandom. Anyway… I find no reason to not believe in their friendship/good relationship. Trusting articles without sources or from certain publications is just plain stupid. You can see that when there’s a chance either of them will still either mention the other out of the blue (martin in a recent interview) or even have the other in their thoughts (ben still doing that silly pointy thing). They are both busy and it stands to reason that we don’t see “them” together anymore… besides they are not working together like in sherlock. I most definitely don’t think there’s any hostility between them but fans that are exclusively of one or the other *and* hate that they have a good friendship might be hostile towards that relationship for some overprotective silly reason. I think they are doing just fine =)
