"Marriage," Jiequan repeats. "It'll stop my family from pestering me about finding a good wife and as a citizen of the Jie Kingdom you'll have access to the Haotian Sphere."

"How long does citizenship take?" Yi asks, not quite able to believe he's really considering this.

Jiequan shrugs. "Depends. As the heir to the kingdom, I can make sure it happens fast." He snaps his fingers on the last word and Yi's ears twitch, reminded of a few months ago when he stumbled on Jiequan testing out a piece of equipment that Yi can find no other way to describe than a torture device. Yi pushes that thought far to the back of his mind.

"Why me?" Despite the Jie family's past, they're thought pretty well of these days. Yi knows that Jiequan has plenty of admirers from all levels of society. He could have his pick of anyone. Yet here he is, offering this trade to Yi. Jiequan smirks. Casually, he rises from his chair and saunters over to Yi, crouching down in front of him. Slowly, he trails his eyes down over Yi's body, then back up to hold his gaze.

"I simply find you fascinating, young master Yi," Jiequan says. His voice is soft, intimate. Yi's instinct is to go for the eyes. He holds Jiequan's gaze, not sure what exactly they're doing here, but unwilling to lose. Jiequan's smirk widens. Then he abruptly stands back up and sits back down behind his desk, leaning back and throwing his feet up to rest on top of a stack of probably important papers. "Plus, you don't seem like the type to nag."

"Just for that I'm going to nag you every day," Yi says, scowling when he looks to the side rather than continue holding Jiequan's gaze. There's something... not uncomfortable, but unfamiliar in Jiequan's gaze. Yi doesn't know what to make of it. Or the strange tingle running down his spine.

"Does that mean you're agreeing?" Jiequan asks.
