Since @langwrites got me looking at hanfu (theyâre so pretty omg) I ended up finding ones that jumped out at me as something Ta Li (top) and then Ji Lan (bottom) would wear

Who has the most conflicting relationship in your WIP and who are the closest in you WIP? (This could be fore romantic, platonic or familial relationships)
Most conflicting relationship? Probably Oslen and his desire to return home vs help the people in Riverport.
Closest. Probably Ta Li and Ji Lan as siblings who are basically co leaders of a revolution. Their parents also died when they were young and learned to rely on each other to survive.
Who has the best appearance in your WIP?
As in like, who is the most attractive? Iâm pretty sure Iyaan would be insulted if I didnât say him, but like Hom literally makes a living out of being Attractive TM.
Ji Lan is also pretty stunning in an intimidating way.
Tela also apparently ended up being pretty attractive (at least to Oslen).
Basically Oslen is surrounded by 10s.
I think my favorite thing about Ji Lan is that sheâs like always composed and 100% in control of her impulses, and then the one time she gets a spur of the moment idea and goes with it she steals the cityâs law books by ordering people to load them into her carriage and then has one of those âomg did I just do that?â moments upon leaving

Ta Li thinks her sister (Ji Lan) should get a tattoo and occasionally tells her so when it comes up.

Ji Lan can use magic like 99% of the population in the capacity that she can do basic utility stuff like mark things or light a candle or activate the water spigots.
She has a tendency for her magic to kind of act like static electricity, especially when she is nervous or worried or feeling strong emotion. As such she often shocks people and has to consciously discharge it.
Magic superstition/tradition says it means sheâs destined to be a great weather mage but she wasnât really interested in pursuing magic as a study.

Well, in the grand tradition of âI didnât write it down so I got it mixed upâ Ji Lan was originally going to be the older sister but then I mistyped it. So Ta Li is the older sister and Ji Lan is the younger.
Although I feel like the names need to be swapped back because my head just keeps going âJi Lan is the other sisterâs nameâ
So I think Iâm gonna go do that and fix all the posts mentioning them. And my notes. Rip.
Anyway, Ji Lan is the older sister, I think sheâs straight, and she has a boyfriend (Hom) who is going to be Plot Important TM (donât worry though, heâs good and not going to be bad plot important)
