This is interesting (horrifying) to me from a sociological perspective and 'willingness to look up/research/spend six seconds on a search engine'. (Not that Neil wrote it. I mean, I'm thrilled Neil wrote it, I love the lockdown special, obviously, but it's not indicative of a societal trend. Moving on) I date from pre-google times, and DEFINITELY pre-imdb times, and have stayed for the credits of damn near every movie I've seen. It was the only way to play the 'hey that guy looks sortof familiar, whyyyy do I know them' or 'omg that song SLAPS what is it called, I would like to purchase a compact disc that contains it.' (Also for the '....that's Arches. I don't even have to check, that's literally the three sisters.' and 'Is that the gas station in Bedrock????' and the 'I grew up in/near a town with a heavy film festival presence, lets see if anyone we know is in the credits list for random tasks they did while the director was in town' reasons) And having a LARGE VHS collection, at home the strategy was 'going to the end of the credits, and having to backup/rewatch (pause gave you weird static bars that you couldn't read through) try and read the tiny type on the blurry screen' to check if 'random extra person is the one I think I spotted in that other movie'. This was not easy, given that the character name wasn't always obvious, and to cross reference, you were pulling out the VHS of the *other* thing you thought you remembered them from.

This lead to a lot of cool finds, like the dedication to Howard Ashman that still makes me cry at the end of Beauty and the Beast, cameos I hadn't recognized and then would try to find on a rewatch, fascinating listings in the 'special thanks' sections. As I understand it with my limited knowledge, Movie/TV credits *also* are important, critically so, for working actors, crew, writers, etc for their resume. I realize that Google exists, and IMDB is a hell of a lot easier than compulsively pausing the thing that you're watching on a computer or phone that you can zoom in on given the lockdown special aired on youtube. I also realize that a lot of people don't/didn't stay for the credits even before that, but like... is this a trend that's evolved out of streaming/digital?

Definition: Just Fucking Google it. You say it when somebody asks a stupid question.

Example: Dude #1: hey dude, what does JFGI mean? Dude #2: Just Fucking Google it yo. Dude #1: I tried but i couldn't find anything. Dude #2: JUST FUCKING GOOGLE IT! Dude #1: bro. i already tried that. don't be mean. Dude #2: bro, your an idiot.
