The Safaricom Marathon in Kenya is run every June through the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy; in 2014 1,200 runners raised $725,000. Don’t worry about the lions though - armed rangers guard the runners with helicopter support. Took a quick trip up to the Batu Caves, the stairs alone will give you quite a workout! Sadly the caves themselves are a little disappointing, but Gina was there at 7 am, so maybe things liven up later in the day.
