It was spoken of old: But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 Later in time it came to pass: Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 When God speaks a word be for sure that it will come to pass. I am a living example when I was young and weak in my faith, God would speak warnings in my life and I would brush them off to then pay for the consequences that came about for not listening. God is an awesome and caring God, but when we walk in disobedience we will reap from the fruit of it. The Pharisees and the men of law also brushed away the words that were spoken to them from of old and missed the day's of their Messiah's visitation. Jesus said:... “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.” Luke 19:42-44 ¶For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 So when God speaks in your heart, when you hear His sweet and gentle voice, obey!
