✦ your jester is… odd. it isn’t rare for jesters to have wide, almost frantic eyes; it’s not too unusual that he grins so much, either. even so, are all jesters this… masochistic? adrian’s routines, as funny as they may be, always have some form of violence in them. it’s no mystery as to why he has so many scars underneath his jester suit.

✦ his bluntness when giving advice from the jester’s position has earned him his fair share of slaps from your mother. he’s fairly knowledgeable about the kingdom’s affairs, so it wouldn’t be helpful to execute him. still, you’ve warned him multiple times to learn some semblance of tact before the queen loses it on him.

✦ sometimes part of his jester routine will just be chase reciting facts from off the top of his head. he’ll ask you for a topic, and then ramble on about facts concerning that subject until you tire of it and demand that he move on to something else. it’s not humorous, but it is fascinating to listen to adrian go on and on. he speaks with such conviction that you tend to view his words as true (even when they might not be).

✦ adding onto his masochism: if you’re upset, he’ll offer himself up as a punching bag. even just for hissy fits, when you need to just push someone and pout— it’s not a jester thing, just a him and you thing. chase allows encourages it, reassuring you by claiming that he can handle whatever you do. “if it helps, it helps,” he says, even if the help leaves him on the ground or holding his cheek.

✦ somewhat unserious but he’s banned from musical instruments outside of classical lute playing. he is not allowed to freestyle songs, everything is preapproved by the queen. the last time chase had the power to do what he wanted musically, everyone was left with headaches for a couple of days. do not let him cook!!!

sorry this is so short, i couldn’t think of much more after a certain point </3 but the concept is fairly cute. i made the kingdom matriarchal but kept reader gn. i think jester!adrian is like super funny or unbearably unfunny and it just switches everyday so you never know what you’re getting.
