I'm working on an AU I'm calling my fail vampire AU, where Adrian is a very young vampire, only a year or two post-transformation, and he hasn’t really figured it all out yet. He’s got no problem at all feeding off people, he really enjoys it, to the point where he way over hunts. Vampires only need to eat once a month or so, and he hunts multiple times a week. Most of his victims he doesn’t drink enough to be even close to fatal, then just kills them off the good old-fashioned way. In that aspect of vampire life he’s thriving. It's everything else that he struggles with.
Hes dead broke, he wasn't Vigilante befor he got turned, so he doesn't even have his blood money, and now he can only work nights. He still lives with his mom, and the whole family is growing increasingly concerned about him. His strange behavior being chalked up by most of them as him having a drug problem, there's already an intervention being planned that he will not handle well. Gut is actively trying to get his mom to kick him out, saying he's a leech and abusing her kindness, which isn't completly wrong. His living situation is precarious.
He has an unnatural charm and beauty to him now, but he's so strange and off-putting that he basically negates that whenever he opens his mouth, he's not more popular with humans than he was befor. Other vampires aren't particularly fond of him either, especially not with the way he overhunts, so at this point, Chris is the only person who really talks to him, and even then, Chris is pissed off at him. Adrian turned Chris into a vampire without asking. Basically, immediately after he got turned, he doesn't understand why Chris is so mad about it, because, in his opinion, being a vampire is sick as hell.
