My honest thought on truth… The truth shows people who we really are. Dahh. Though, it can be easier to lie, cover up and pretend. But each time we hide our truth a little of our soul breaks, chipping away, slowly but surely. & we forget who we are. Over the years I've been learning to feel confident in MY truth on the inside but still struggled to openly share this with the world. In fear of offending, not being relatable or not feeling seen. (big people pleaser vibes...) Why do we lie and hide our truth? To avoid pain and disappointment, to show others we're better than what we feel inside? Again, all things that chip away at us... We want to avoid momentary uncomfortably so we hide things but in actual fact, it's hurting us more and more in the long run. Being yourself is hard in a world that tells you to do, be, have, want - this, this and that. But when you deeply realise the more you are true to yourself, the ones closest to you and the people you're here to help, the simpler it gets. Simple, not easy. Because it's simple to share your truth, not always easy. What is harder though, is avoiding your truth and then realising you are too far gone from yourself. You don't have to live a life where you fear your true self, the people who are meant for you will stay and the ones who aren't will just fall away. Recently more than ever I've been honest with myself, sharing my truth with the people I'm here to help and in doing so I'm feeling empowered to show up and share my heart MORE. Ask yourself, what is my truth? what do I BELIEVE to be true to me? No more lying, hiding or pretending.
